I am 51. Havent had a period since Sept and since then my perimenopausal symptoms (really only mood swings ) have leveled off if anything. For the past two weeks I have had really tender nipples, headaches, am spotty (!) and have quite a lot of mucus (like you get when ovulating). This morning I felt as sick as a dog until about 11.

Tell me these are common peri symptoms and I don't need to wee on a stick.

They are symptoms of peri/Pre menopause but to be on the safe side I would still pee on a stick, sorry!

Noo - too scared Blush. And they've gone away now, so think it must be hormonal swings. Weird though.

there was a woman in the press recently who had a baby in her 50's- sorry- but I had to laugh when she said that she had to put her reading glasses on to check the test result!!

Grin and Shock. i was stupid to take a risk I suppose, but when you havent had a period for 4 months...

Anyway, am pretty sure I'm not now. Nipples have returned to normal, no more discharge, dont feel sick. Just the spots left Grin

The joys of being 51 eh?
