Hi ladies,

For a while now I've been going through tests for different things.....my gp suspects I may have MS....or some other neurological problem.......but after reading about peri menopause I'm starting to believe this could be my problem...my symptoms are: dizziness, aching muscles, poor concentration, night sweats (where I actually have to change my top, its soaked through. And its not every night, just every so often?) Fatigue (I'm sooo tired sometimes I cant literally keep my head up, have to crawl off to bed, and this is usually when I get the sweats) The only thing I cant really link in with the menopause is I have a constant tingling and a numbness in certain parts of my body and twitches in my hands and feet, these are the things that concern me to be related to neurological problems......and maybe the fact that I am only 33......obviously I am hoping for an outcome that ins't MS or something worse.......so I'm just wondering is 33 too young to be menopausal...I did have gynae problems last year and had to have my coil removed as I had cysts and a polyp, which I had removed, my periods prior to that were awful, heaving and the PMS was terrible (and everyone I lived with knew about it) but at the moment I don't even realize I have a period, no PMS and they are extremely light, two days at the most and its non existent really . I have had numerous blood tests done, and everything is coming back as normal........so I'm having an MRI scan done now soon to rule out certain things..........so I'd just like your thoughts really......the night sweats are driving me bats, well along with everything else.

Thanks ladies,

Frankly

Hi frankly I could have written your post, also have had three years of night sweats, so tired I feel so pre-menstrual. I twitch all over and feel that my limbs are vibrating. My periods are so heavy, flooding all the time. Some times it's feels as if rain drops are falling all over me. I def think it's the peri-menopause even though my bloods have checked out as normal. I am 35 by the way.

I beg to differ ladies!

I am post meno and had none of these signs ever- except night sweats once my periods stopped age 53.

If you are having these symptoms so young it could be premature ovarian failure - confirmed by blood tests.

My guess is that you have something else and the symptoms are a result of whatever that is- maybe thyroid or some other endocrine/ hormonal issues.
