How do you know when you are peri menopausal?

I had a ridiculously early period last month but then it sort of evened itself out the following month. I am soooooo bloody irritable at the moment. Really short tempered. I have no patience though I am concealing it well as it is half term. Everything is getting on my bloody nerves. Not assuming it is menopause but just wondering as it could be related I guess. I have also had anxiety (I do suffer with it anyway). I'm 46 (just)

Smile could well be the start ....of a bit of a long road. Keep a diary of your periods, and you will see a pattern,or rather a mish mash, of cycles. Are you yet going to the fridge, and wondering WTF you're doing there? Do you sometimes turn into the Hulk? Do you have dirty dreams about being Geronimo's taken white squaw?
Keep us posted Wink

Crazynanna - I am really ludicrously forgetful! Confused So much so that I am beginning to feel I am losing my marbles completely. I wonder sometimes how I manage to get anything done at all! I am noticeably less tolerant of my children which is a shame as they are only 13 and 5 and it really is not their fault Sad I find myself bickering with my dd like I am her sister needing to win an argument. I am trying so hard to be calm and collected like I usually am but I seem to have no patience at all!!!! It really is not like me at all Confused. Funnily enough, I have been rather rampant just latelly much to the delight of a male friend of mine Blush but enough about that!!!! So, I'll keep a period calendar and see what is going on

Erm, how long have you got?

Periods ALL over the place
Murderous PMT
Libido up and down like a fiddlers elbow

Oh dear. Doesn't sound like much fun. Especially for my children. Will hope I'm just having a grumpy time rather than heading for menopause!
