i am sure this is all part of the joy of peri meno but just checking really, last couple of months around with af is due i have had all symptoms ie seriously hormonal, the odd facial spot appears and tummy cramps, and some light brown spotting, this usually turns into af however the last couple of months it has all suddenly stopped and no af (although last month af did come a week or two later). does this sound typical of peri'? thnks

yes but check with dr. Basically you are saying you miss a period except for some light spotting when you would expect a full period?

If you are 45+ then it sounds normal. usual advice is to have it checked out if you bleed at any other time, as well as your period, though in peri the cycles can get very short and you may just have a bit of spotting.
Quite a good diea tokeep a diary of your cycles- days, length of bleeding, heaviness etc for 3-6 months then see GP if worried.
