I am sitting here feeling really sorry for myself, close to tears, have had headaches - migraine for over a week now,I have had the migraine with bad eyes on and off for a few years but now they have started with pain. I think it is due to hormones as it started 4 days before my period and has continued for the next 4 as well although period has finished. I would really like some encouragement. I just want to know its normal and will end!! can't believe I feel so sorry for myself - I feel like I'm wasting my life and will always feel like this I'm 51 by the way and normally love my life!!

Are you taking any supplements? My gynaecologist recommended Menopace. I've also read somewhere that magnesium is good too for migraines.

I have missed 2 periods and feel constantly like I have PMS which is getting me down to be honest. I am trying to be positive but I know how you feel.

Have you seen your dr about the migraines?

It does sound as if they are hormonal. I wonder if they are due to falling progesterone levels? Might be worth asking about taking some tablets- a friend of mine had non stop spotting due to low progesterone and tablets sorted her out.

I have been to the doctors several times and they just shrug and say "its your age" thats why I paid to go and see this particular gynaecologist.

I am just reading a book called "Balancing hormones naturally" and regarding headaches it says it could be due to declining oestrogen. Vitamin B3 taken as 100mg dose to be taken if you feel a headache coming on. Avoid coffee, and alcohol.

I wish I could be back to my "usual self". I seem to have lost my mojo!
