natural remedy for flushes

I was in the health shop today and noticed a leaflet advocating Sage (drops and tablet form) for hot flushes. I just wondered if anyone can offer advice or opinions on this? Or if there is any other remedy which helps.

I'm 43 and have been confirmed as peri (had been TTC for child number 2 and during fertility tests and treatment discovered I have low egg reserve and sky high FSH levels) I have been recommended HRT and this scares me, thought I'd do a bit of reading round first - have just started reading Marilyn Glenvilles "natural remedies to HRT"

It would be good to hear other experiences of natural remedies before launching into GP appointment about HRT! Many thanks

Clure- sage is supposed to be good for flushes and harmless.

However, if your periods do stop before you are 45, then you would be wise to take HRT until the age of the natural menopause- 51/52- to protect yourself from osteoporosis in later life.

this site has some good info
www.studd.co.uk/

this dr is very biased towards HRT but there is some evidence that it is necessary for younger women like yourself-not many drs would disagree with that.

If you google early menopause then there is lots of info.

cabbageroses, thanks for your reply. I will give the sage a go. I have also been reading about the need to protect against osteo, think I need to investigate further
