Is this perimenopause?

My periods are still regular although can be extremely heavy but I have been getting hot and woozy on occassion and last night I woke up drenched in sweat, my nightie was literally soaking. Do you think this could be a sign of perimenopause? I am 41.

happycamper1, - you could be me! That is what has been happening to me for the last couple of years. Just on a gushing period at the moment - same, having to change every hour. Not good Sad

Roll on the end of it!
I'm 46 btw.

I'm not sure about HRT/other treatment - anyone got any advice?

I am on HRT but I don't think I would recommend it for simply heavy bleeding as it may well not do the trick. I think it's great for all other meno symptoms.

Best go to GP or ask for a referral to a emno clinic.

menopause matters is a good website too.

Hi. I am so scared that I might have ms. I have been to a neuro and don't a mri of back and brain everything was clear. Dr. Says it could be anxiety. Had a full health check everything came back normal. But I have had tingling in arms and legs crawly skin especially on back and face, itchy eyes muscle twitching on arms and legs and abdomen, hot flashes. No severe night sweats but can't get a full nights sleep. Periods are regular but tend to have flooding. This has been going on for more than a year. Could this be perimenopause. I am going crazy with fear that it could be something severe please help.
