Leicester mum would like to meet other mums

hello!

i am a 30 year old stay-at-home mum of 2, a 1 YO DD and a 4 YO DS...it would be really great to hear from any other leicester mums especially with kids of similar ages because it would be nice for my kids to make friends too

my interests (aside from the kids!) are music, fashion, reading, fashion, films and shopping...and me and the kids love doing stuff like visiting parks, soft play areas and generally getting out and about.

you dont go to braunstone stay and play at the sure start centre do you, i was speaking to a girl there today with kids exactly the same age as yours!

No, I don't go, but I did used to go to the breastfeeding group there, that's the one on Cort Crescent, yes?

We go to the Glenfield toddler group on a thurs morning.

yes it is! its really lovely actually, have only just started going but the kids love it and everyone seems really nice there. although i wish they did more stay n play sessions, they only do 2 a week and one is a bit early in the morning for my liking! ;)

There is a stay and play at my local one, at liberty road. Haven't been yet though!

Lol, if you have a 4 year old, you won't be doing the school run yet then? We tend to go places in the morning as we are already up and out!

We will have to do a meet up. You live too close not too! I will always be looking around and seeing if anybody looks like a MNer!!

no i dont do the school run atm, my eldest is part time nursery till the end of term, and then he starts at braunstone community primary f/t in sept.

i havent met anyone pg yet at surestart so prob havent seen your friend as yet! yes i would definitely be up for a meet up, as i dont know anyone round here, i used to live the other side of town and it can be a real mission arranging stuff with my old friends esp as we all have kids. do you go to any of the soft play areas, i sometimes take mine to go kids go off aylestone road, they love it

Our last MN meetup was gokidsgo!

I sometimes take the boys to wacky warehouse during school time. DS2 is free as he's under 1, so only costs £3.50 for tea/juice etc. It's easy for me to get to as well as I don't drive, and the no.40 goes there.

is there a wacky warehouse near here then? the nearest one i know about is syston. its really good but always sooooo busy.

how often do you leic mnetters meet up then? are there a lot of you?

yeah i have to mainly use buses or walk to places in the week, we do have a car but dp uses it to get to work as he works quite far away.

it would be nice to meet you as most of my friends have older kids than mine, and i am the only one with a young baby so since she has been born i feel the odd one out haha!

The Bees Knees is a wacky warehouse. I really don't like the pub my ex runs it, but the wacky is ok for under 5s. Do you know where it is?

Stretch, I don't like the pub so dd hasn't been to the wacky warehouse [evil mum smiley]so that would be good. Thu or Fri are good for me.

Ah yes! I know the bees knees! Near the Aldi didnt know there was a wacky warehouse there.

is there any way we could make it next thursday morning instead? i have plans for next friday. or wednesday would probably be ok too.

Anyway...Jist of it was, thurs is fine, usually have a toddler group, but will give up my breakfast at the co-op for 1 day!
