pinklilith · 08/08/2005 08:45

KBear - this site might be of use to you

Tommy - where would you meet up?

OP posts:
Tommy · 08/08/2005 08:58

don't know really! Just had an idea that it might be good to try - was thinking local to Southampton so swiperfox could get there by bus. Shall we keep this bumped up a bit and see what anyone else thinks?

Tommy · 08/08/2005 21:22

you see - mention a meetup and everyone scuttles away again

pinklilith · 08/08/2005 22:22

lol sorry got sucked into the Sims, well I am up for a meet in Southampton, I can manage the trainfare but we need to go somewhere cheap so I can afford coffee, lol, being skint sucks.

OP posts:
Tommy · 09/08/2005 09:15

Won't ask what "sucked into the Sims" means as it sounds painful/embarrassing..... but I'll bump this a bit to see if anyone else wants to join us

pinklilith · 09/08/2005 17:36

lol, "sucked into the sims", have you heard of the computer game The Sims? Well I have The Sims 2, and its very addictive, when I say sucked into what I really mean is that I was playing it and stopped paying any attention to anything else.

OP posts:
Tommy · 09/08/2005 19:10

well pinklilith - I think everyone else has stopped paying attention to us!

dramaqueen72 · 09/08/2005 19:30

I'm here too, would love to meet some of you, am away for 2wks this fri coming but after that....

Tommy · 09/08/2005 20:28

OK! It will take us that long to sort something out anyway

swiperfox · 09/08/2005 20:30

I'm not sure if i'm brave enough!

pinklilith · 09/08/2005 22:18

swiperfox - course you are, I'm a coward and I'm up for it.

OP posts:
Tommy · 09/08/2005 22:26

why so you think you need to be brave swiperfox?

pinklilith · 10/08/2005 19:50

we're not scary.

OP posts:
swiperfox · 10/08/2005 20:05

lol i know, but i'm a shy & pathetic wimp!!!

Tommy · 10/08/2005 21:03

No you're not! You come on here very day don't you?!
Know what you mean though - it's easy to hide behind a computer sometimes isn't it and reality is a bit different. But, if you're still feeling abit lost in Southampton, then you need some friends here anyway

dramaqueen72 · 10/08/2005 22:40

I'm not scary! mind you i guess you will be super organised, efficent, superwomen type mums and make me feel silly.
so we are all feeling like we want to meet but are nervous!
if tis any help, I'm 32, have three children, am pg with number four and am very dizty-unintentionably. god you cant poss be shy about meeting me.....
so what do we do then? all carry a copy of the times, red flower and sit under a clock????

Tommy · 11/08/2005 09:03

LOL dramaqueen at me being super-organised, efficient, superwoman If it's any help, my children are still in their pyjamas and our planned morning activities consist of walking to the Co Op to get my paper....
Seems like we're up for it then - where would be a good place? Swiperfox - if you're on the bus we nede to be central or straighforward. I was thinking a park somewhere - Mayflower Park in town? Sports Centre?

pinklilith · 14/08/2005 10:28

Its true, the less organised you think you are, the more paranoid about how everyone else is going to be much more organised and better at being a mum than you.

OP posts:
Tommy · 14/08/2005 14:44

I don't know any Mums who are super organised except my SIL and she doesn't count....

pinklilith · 15/08/2005 10:21

why doesn't she count?

OP posts:
handlemecarefully · 15/08/2005 10:24

I'll eat my hat if you manage a meet up - I have seen it discussed (for So'ton area) many times, but never has it materialised
