Okay. This is getting silly now! We will be having a meet up in April. Even if it's just . On my own.
Inside best (obviously) so Funsters or Wacky's look the most likely.

PLease sign in with dates etc....

Oh no! Well at least Dee and I will be able to vouch that neither of us are hairy truckers

Where are you moving to/from?

OP posts:
LauraIngallsWilder · 22/04/2010 21:17

Staying in same town but one mile round corner effectively

C'mon I want to know about the shit shop

Deemented · 22/04/2010 21:20

Bugger - but it gives us an excuse to meet up again when you can come, laura [grin}

Deemented · 22/04/2010 21:21

Did we agree on a time? If Julezboo is coming from Bridend, then the earlier the better, p'raps?

JackBauer · 22/04/2010 21:25

The Shit Shop Kiosk in brynmill park sells really random things, mainly duck food and also drinks, crisps, icecream and sweets, alongside some homemade type flapjacks and sarnies. V odd.
And the Vilest Coffee In Swansea (TM)

I can't make it before 12 as have to pick up DD2 at 11.45 across town so that's earliest I can do.

Deemented · 22/04/2010 21:33

Gotchya!

Erm... dull moment... but what will we do if it deighns to rain?

JackBauer · 22/04/2010 21:40

Bring brollies and wellies?

are you sure you are from swansea

according to long range we are in the clear for a bit anyway. I dunno though!

OP posts:
tots2ten · 22/04/2010 21:50

Can you add us on too please?

Deemented · 22/04/2010 21:56

No... i'm not from Swansea.... i do live here though!

JackBauer · 22/04/2010 22:09

How's it going?

Well that doubles the numbers (Tots is my mate who lives a few houses >>>that way, although ehr car is right outside my house, tut)

I'm an immigrant too, Dee, had to get used to the Swansea 'If it isn't actually possible to drown by looking up then the weather is ok' mentality!

OP posts:
JackBauer · 22/04/2010 22:17

MrsGravy, I'm soory I missed your post! I ahve to admit, have never ventured further into Clydach than the park, but it is awesome as it always quiet and I like the trees in the playground bit where there is very little chance of dogshit, unlike everywere else in swansea

OP posts:
tots2ten · 22/04/2010 22:35

I have always lived in Swansea, and the weather was never this bad when I was little, (well not that I remember)

Julezboo · 23/04/2010 17:07

Sorry! Yes 12 is perfect for me I will have monster number 2 with me, whos a boy so beware

Reason for late reply, i have concussion been in A&E all afternoon!

Added you to facebook Demented

JackBauer · 23/04/2010 17:45

Concussion? Do share! Assuming you are ok now....

DD2 is a major tomboy so she will like having a boy to dig for worms with

OP posts:
Julezboo · 23/04/2010 17:57

Nothing too exciting, car door shut on my head yesterday morning, headache got increasingly worse when i got home from swansea this morning so DH marched me to A&E.

Need to call the doc in A&E at half 6 to give an update but lots of stong pain killers later, headache is a 2 out of 10 now rather than 8 out of 10

DS2 is 3 and very energetic!

Julezboo · 23/04/2010 18:00
JackBauer · 23/04/2010 18:03

I used to live in liverpool!

So, so far, tots is the only welsh attendee at the Swansea meetup? Nice

OP posts:
Julezboo · 23/04/2010 18:05

well DS2 is welsh as well. He was born in Cardiff.

JackBauer · 23/04/2010 18:10

Oh yes, the DD's were born in swansea so they are welsh, but it doesn't count really. they are enlgish on the inside.

Has anyone wished anyone a Happy St Georges Day? I have, and a welsh person said it to me I think she had just seen my FB status though...

DH banned me form sending DD1 into school with my flag as 'show and tell' type thing.

OP posts:
Julezboo · 23/04/2010 18:14

lol DS1 and I came to wales to meet DH in our English shirts

No one has said it to me, but then I was in a meeting this morning and then A&E this afternoon!

DH wanted to send DS1 in on St Davids day in an English shirt or with a flag!

Deemented · 23/04/2010 21:02

My eldest is English - but that was Singletons fault as their NICU was full, so had to be shipped out to have him, but the other two are definate Welshies.

JackBauer · 25/04/2010 12:46

Bumping both threads!

Dee, I won't tell anyone about your eldest...honest

OP posts:
tots2ten · 25/04/2010 20:57

Has anyone seen the weather forecast for next week typical swansea weather brollies and wellies ready

JackBauer · 26/04/2010 13:42

My forecast is fairly ambivalent. Sunny and showery intervals So basically ;we have no fucking clue, bring a sunhat and a brolly'

Thanks met office!

I think the discovery centre is open on a weekday afternoon so we could always shelter in there if it is too bad.
