Thanks for plan B chaps - see you tomorrow at 11.45ish at the pub!

sarahhal · 29/07/2005 07:47

Good morning! Am afraid not going to be able to meet up today - last night was our first attempt at DS in a big bed - how little sleep did we all get?! We are now all one big narky household, DS is beside himself with tiredness already and I don't think we would be the most sociable pair today! Have a good day and hope to meet up next time. (would sign off with a [yawn] smiley if there was one!)

Hi all; we had a lovely time. Great to see everyone again. We finally left just after 4pm, although DD and friend's DS still were chattering away in the car the whole way home, and played for a bit at their hosue too.

Nightmare at supermarket on way back though. I put DD back in car seat, put my bags in boot and my proper back on passenger seat, Car keys were in the bag. Shut the door and..yes..locked the car doors. No idea how or why it happened at all. DD was inside, with keys and mobile too. Boy, did I panic. A lovely couple stopped to help - he was going to try and phone his roadside recovery to help - details for mine was inside car too. Argh.

But DD was an absolute star With some persuasion - the lady offered her a pound coin -we got her to undo her car seat (quite stiff so not always easy), climb into front seat - through middle right over the upright arm rest. She then had to go through my bag and find the car keys. And then find which key to press to open the door. But she did it - with help from me and the lady shouting instructions through the closed windows. Bless her - so did really well, and got her £1 treat and a bar of chocolate

I am on for the Spa too.

Suppose we ought to think about another with kids meet too.

OP posts:
katzguk · 29/07/2005 21:58

nah - think of it as quality daddy children time!

DD1 (still wierd to write that!) has woken up screaming and was unpassifiable for about 10mins, she is now cuddling daddy on the sofa. Really not sure whats wrong but if she comes down with something i will let you all know. DH thinks it might be from watching the animal programe on BBC 1 this morning, apparently the lions were eating people!!

Hulababy · 29/07/2005 21:59

Aw bless her; hope she is fine.

We had a lovely time today, great to meet you all, dd2 lovely Katzguk, hope dd1 is OK.

Must be something in the air today, as I left my purse in the car when we went to supermarket after meet today. Rather embarrassing at the checkout, poor old 16 year old left to supervise my ds's and trolley full of shopping while I legged it back to car - did the decent thing and came back to pay for shopping and claim boys though!

What about another meet with the kids AND a spa night? Sorry, it's the drink talking as I've been out on the lash tonight.

Hulababy · 30/07/2005 07:27

THat's what I thought jamiesam - let's plan both, but maybe the importance should be the other way round = SPA, and a kids meet.
