Scottish MNers.........I will be in Edinburgh in August...........

I'm there for 2 weeks, and am quite happy (and actually want to so that the DS's can see some other bits of Scotland other than Edinburgh) to hop on a train for an hour or so to do it.........

I know it's a long way off..........but thought if I started asking early I might get lucky and find one of you that I know (or even one I don't ) that was up for a meet-up...........

I'd forgotten I'd started it........mind now I look terribly greedy (or needy??) with 2 threads about meeting people in Edinburgh

I know - only there for the first week of it mind, the first week we're there is before the Fringe starts.

But still going to be loads to do I LOVE Edinburgh.

If someone said to me you HAVE to move from where you are now, but you can go anywhere in the country - i'd be up to Edinburgh in a flash.

I very nearly considered it when exH and split the first time round 2yrs ago. But realised there was far too much to keep me here so stayed.........

I might make it up, in Ayr normally but fancy a wee trip over the holidays!

I would be up for it. I may have to abstain from any form of alcohol though, given that I was ill for about three days after the christmas one!

Mine are back on the 17th, weegiemum - we're in Renfrewshire.

If you fancied coming over to Glasgow, Toccata - perhaps we could meet up somewhere - the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is kid friendly, and the science centre is good too - though I shall probably be solo, as my grumpy teens will probably prefer to stay attached to their xboxes/pcs etc.

Or you'd be more than welcome to come out to my place for a BBQ/gossip/romp with the dog (soppy lab).

sorry - crashed out on the sofa last night and been at sports day today - only just catching up with threads I'm on.

I can pop over to Glasgow easy enough, doesn't take long on the train.
