June 2010 Bumps London Meet Up

As promised (finally...), somewhere we can make plans without hijacking the main June bumps ante-natal thread

I think we've already agreed that:

1. Most people would prefer an evening meet-up after work

1. That City, West End or Angel would be ok (or did I imagine that?)

So, just to get the ball rolling, here's some proposed dates:

Thursday 4th March (might be a bit soon...)
Monday 8th March
Thursday 11th March
Monday 15th March
Thursday 18th March

(Sorry, this is based entirely on my diary so I appreciate it might not work for anyone else! I could also do Wednesday evenings but only after 7.30/8pm which might be a bit late...)

Would 6.30pm be good, or would people prefer a 7/7.30 start?

And, finally, a suggestion of a cheap, bump-friendly nice place to meet with yummy food and a good range of meat/veggie dishes:

I was going to suggest booking for 7.30 or 8pm (I'll need to go home and put the dcs to bed, then come back out but I know others will be coming straight from work) but it may be worth delaying and trying again in April if there's only going to be 2-3 of us...what do you think?

i selfishly would love to re-arrange for April but that's only because it's easier for me!! I'm sure we can arrange another meet up for April, that is presuming you all like each other if you do meet on Thursday...

I'm still up for Thursday night. I will be coming straight from work so 7.30 would suit me. Am happy to go with the flow.

I have a client's meeting, but should not take too long.

OK, there's about 6 of us (7 if minimoo can make it at the last minute!) so I'll book Mem and Laz for 7.15 first thing tomorrow.

I'll book the table as 'Mumsnet' to avoid confusion...dh tells me he should be able to get home by 7 so that I can drive in, so I shouldn't be too late

Table is booked, should be on the ground floor (toilets are in the basement so I decided to avoid the 1st floor!) for 7.15 in name of Mumsnet. They were a little when I gave that name for the booking but eventually got there (I think!)

I am really looking forwards to this! anyone been before woh can give me walking directions from Angel tube?

It's really easy to get to, about 5 mins slow walk along Upper Street from Angel tube.

Turn right out of Angel tube exit, walk along the road and when the road forks (the right hand fork, that you'll be on, becomes Essex Road, the left hand side is Upper Street), just make sure you cross to Upper street.

Walk along and when you get to the Sainsbury's you're basically there - its the next road along on the left (Theberton Street), just pass the Sainsbury's and the restaurant is the 2nd or 3rd one along (there's a row of small restaurants just back from the corner).
