Bugger I can't come!

I'm going to a wedding in Wales then. This is the ONLY truly immovable date I have in Jan, of course it turns out it's on the same day! I was really looking forward to meeting you all.
I'll have to catch you all on the next one instead.

Hope you all have a lovely time.

MABS · 05/01/2010 07:29

what a shame lowrib

OP posts:
scarlotti · 05/01/2010 17:45

I'm easy with where we go. Zizzi's is nice food last time I went, Italian is normally a good choice to suit lots of different tastes.

lowrib - sorry you won't make it. Am a newbie to the meet ups too, although been in Brighton now for about 12 years.
We'll have to meet you when you move here - there's a few of us with little ones

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 05/01/2010 18:55

Was gonna join this but just noticed Custy is Brighton - I'm a bit scared to meet her after she gave me a good kicking (deserved) one time

Custy say you don't remember me???

MABS · 05/01/2010 19:00

Fratellis is also ok, what do others think girls?

Kat - Custy is a lovely person, very shy in RL, i love her to bits. PLease come to meet her kat

OP posts:
ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 05/01/2010 19:24

Shy? I don't believe it. She's full of sense but a leeetle bit scary....

Ithaca · 05/01/2010 21:07

Agree that italian is an easy choice, don't have any in mind tho and I don't know Fratelli's (haven't been out in Btn for, ooh, quite some time).

SpeedyGonzalez · 05/01/2010 23:25

I'm happy with anything that has a good range for preg diets.

Mamazon · 05/01/2010 23:27

custy is a gorgeous little bundle of fabulousness. but yes shy in Rl.

im happy to go with the crowd. im a munter so eat everything

MABS · 06/01/2010 09:12

will get something sorted when i can get out of this bloody house, totally snowbound today.

Believe me, Custy is not scary in RL, very funny, very dry sense of humour which i love, extremely attractive but yes, definitely shy.

And Mamazon ain't no munter i assure you

OP posts:
RnB · 06/01/2010 09:17

shortandsweet2 · 06/01/2010 09:24

Kat - Custy is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and also echo she is shy in RL

Mamazon you certainly aren't any munter!!!

MABS - the snow is crap, isn't it? Do you need any help doing anything, Where's Fratellis?

MABS · 06/01/2010 13:46

Fratellis is in Brighton SquAre so v central, anyone object to that?

am soooo pissed off with the snow, bloody cold too thanks shortansweet, am ok really.

OP posts:
SpeedyGonzalez · 06/01/2010 15:39

Fratelli's fine by me. I may slope off after lunch; if you're all getting drunk, me and my bump make a sober exit .

I love the snow!

MABS · 06/01/2010 16:01

no, we don't all get drunk honest speedyg, you won't have to race off.

Try being stuck in a village with a disabled ds and your road so iced you can't get him a hosp appt, novetly of snow wears off then i'm afraid x

OP posts:
SpeedyGonzalez · 06/01/2010 16:07

Oh dear, so sorry for your snow hassles, that sounds miserable. Hope you have food supplies at least?

I've suggested to B&H council that they give each resident their own grit supplies so that we don't have to wait for them to not grit our roads (ours was like an ice rink last time round, but we just about managed to get out to catch a bus for my hosp appt - nothing like your situation). Who knows? If they decide to take up my suggestion we may actually have the opportunity of effective gritting in future years.

Glad to hear I won't be feeling like a sober lemon when we all meet!

2snowshoes · 06/01/2010 17:03

oh that looks nice MABS
here
this snow is now boring
dd is at respite and not sure if I will be able to get her home tomorow

MABS · 06/01/2010 17:47

I have food thanks, fortunately i shopped yesterday by some miracle, would like to say i was being organised but v unlikely

OP posts:
scarlotti · 06/01/2010 17:48

Novelty of snow worn off here too as nursery and school closed so 3dc's at home today climbing the walls as can't take them out to build a snowman as ds2 only 8 weeks and a milk monster!

speedyg - bf here so won't be getting drunk.

Fratelli's looks good

Looking forward to meeting you all

Mamazon · 06/01/2010 19:35

fratellis sounds good to me.

Snow has totally lost its novelty here too.

almost had to abandon the car on the way home as i live at the top of a very steep hill which has not been gritted or even had a plough sent through.
it's supposed to be a bus route but they have cancelled them all.

DP is stuck at his parents so lord knows when i'll see him next.

Both the dc's schools were shut today and it doesn't look good for tomorrow either seeing as it hasn't stopped snowing all day and more is predicted for tonight.

i never thought i'd say it but i wish it would just rain.

MABS · 06/01/2010 19:51

i agree mamazon, my kids school is open as it has boarders BUT all roads into village it's in are shut

OP posts:
Tortington · 07/01/2010 00:01

kat i don't remember you.

i gobshyte everyone.

scarlotti · 07/01/2010 08:54

nursery and school closed again, DH working from home again.
Any good ideas for entertaining a 4yr old whilst looking after an 8 wk old and so feeding a lot?!
15 yr old wants to go out with her friends and feel guilty if I ask her to stay and help.

Ah, the joys of motherhood eh?!

MABS · 07/01/2010 10:01

no ideas, my 15 year old driving me mad too!

OP posts:
