Hi,
I;ve only found Mumsnet 4 days ago - I think it's amazing and have so enjoyed reading/contributing to the converdations. Have 2Dds (6 & 2)- is there anyone in Northants who would like to meet up?

He plays for Towcester but away matches take us all over the place - last year included Wellingborough, Kettering, Old Scouts and ONs in Northampton, Buckingham, Hinckley, Leighton Buzzard, Luton, Ampthill, Olney, Long Buckby - so, we often spend Sunday mornings all through the winter standing freezing in a field with lots of very muddy kit to wash when we get home - the joys of parenthood - at least you won't get that with two girls!! - fortunately dh does the Saturday football bit (dd has swimming lessons on a Saturday morning).

The joys of Dc's eh? - mine have swimming lessons at Roade School on a Saturday morning - loads of Rugby and football going on... and one especially freezing morning last winter I remember feeling smug that at least I wasn't standing on the side lines.....but there agin maybe Dh would do it?!!
Is it just me or do you find the beginnings and the end of the days manic with two children and a full time job??

It is getting better now they are both at school and old enough to get themselves dressed, I also have a friend's two children in the mornings - they arrive at our house at 7:30 and I take them to school so it can be a bit manic. There is a school entrance about 5 houses down from us so the school run is no problem.
I find the evenings are worse though especially with their school homework and evening activities to fit in around work.
Which school does your 6 year old go to?

Well I'll be trundling the trolley around Tesco's Kingston tomorrow am. I have recently stopped work, as I found looking after kids aged 4 and 20 mths as well as working was just too exhausting.
I am currently in the process of adjusting to life as a SAHM - hence the trip to the gym.

BTW I grew up in Oxford - can't get much more historic than that - but I still think MK is a great place to live and work.
