Just to summarise where we are so far with this.

I'm in Leeds theoretically all of next week and first half of the week afterwards, but this is all rather subject to change at the moment.

MrsW - needs to be after next Wednesday. Will have ds with her if Wed-Fri.

Katz - can't do Tuesday but needs to check if dh will let her come at all in case she goes into labour DD-less on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Lua - okay any day next week?

KVG - can't do anything til week commencing 16th May.

At the moment it sounds like lunch next Thursday is the best option, with the caveat that I may have been sent home by then!

Followed by coffee the following week, say Monday?

Hi all,

Just popping in v briefly (hard at work on my second day, as you can tell!).

For tomorrow, I was going to suggest the Wetherspoons pub actually in the station, but I went in for breakkie with a friend this morning and it's nearly all smoking - I thought Wetherspoons had banned smoking from their pubs, erk!

I don't think I can pass as a local yet, I keep wandering around thinking "surely that wasn't here 10 years ago", apparently time has not stood still in Leeds. Somewhere near the station is good for me though, I am now having to carry a laptop to and from the office which I am not best pleased about, my back is bad enough as it is! Any thoughts from MrsW gratefully received.

For next week, I think Monday would be better for me too, should know more later today. Lua, is that okay?

I shall have a think, ask around and come up with some suggestions before lunch, including directions. Wish I could join you tomorrow but hopefully we'll be able to meet up on Monday too.

What time are we doing lunch? Should I plan to arrive say 12ish? and levae 2ish?

This is a nice French place, and they might do a cheap lunch menu (they do a very good early bird menu for £13 for 3 courses)

Thanks for the suggestions MrsW - I went into La Tasca yesterday as they have a gluten-free menu and dh was joining me for lunch. Bizarrely, it was almost empty, I think it might have been closed for a while for refurbishment?

Lunch or coffee on Monday is cool (well, I don't drink coffee but let's assume I can have something else instead!) - I don't think it'll create massive problems if I take an early or late lunch break to accommodate this.

Job's going okay, although I do sincerely wish they would say "you're too tired, go on maternity leave". But as they are all blokes, they have absolutely no idea what it's like. (Dh does though as he has me going on about how much my back hurts all the time). Hoping I can wangle more work from home as that will be lots easier, not least as I can sleep in my own bed, hurrah!

My boss has just confirmed that I should expect to be up in Leeds again on Monday, so we are all systems go for another meet-up, coffee or lunch as people desire.

Slight change of plan for me, alas - I may be there on Monday, I may not. I've come home a day early and was expecting to be able to connect to the work network from home either via broadband or dial-up, only to discover our phone line is dead and BT say it won't be fixed til tomorrow afternoon! Fortunately at the mo I've managed to hack into someone else's wireless network, obviously my neighbours have never heard of security.

Anyway, will let you know!

Well I definitely won't be there on Monday (tomorrow). It's still vaguely possible I'll be there on Wednesday but that's the latest I can be there this week as I have midwife appointment & antenatal class fun on Thursday! I'll let you know. But I hope those who can meet on Monday will go ahead?

What's the plan ladies? Will keep popping in to see if any decisions have been made. I'm free to meet up any other day of the week (with DS after Tuesday) if that's what everyone wants to do.

KVG, it's no nicer in Leeds! Shall we rearrange for another day?
