Hi! I am 36 years old and currently 24 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Are there anyone in my area with a growing belly or a new born who fancy meeting up to share experiences and a laugh? :-)

Bente

Hi there!

My belly is certainly inflating nicely! I'm 31 years old and expecting my first little girl around the 29th June. I recentaly moved to Crystal palace and would love to meet up for cake, tea and general chitchat! There are some great cafes in the triangle. I also have a varied country background, much travelling and settling is all new to me. Hope your enjoying the sun! Celia x

Well I would merrily come along but my youngest (and last) dc is 7 so you would all think me terrible smug, having left behind my sleepless nights, breastfeedings woes, and should-I-or-shouldn't-I-wean worries.
Do count me in at future ones, when you're all desperate to talk about something other than babies (although I really don't mind babies). Although I am an old bird too at 42.

Oh dear, do I feel bad for asking the question and then not checking if there had been any feedback... I am really sorry. I did check once, about a week after posting my message, but there were no answers so I thought no one would.. It only ocurred to me now that I should maybe check again. I see your responses are about a month old but hopefully you will check this link again.

I hope we can still meet up and get to know each other. I am now 6 weeks away from the big day (due date 11 July). I have 3 weeks left at work so from 20 June I am on leave! Whoopee!! Before then I don't think I'll have time to meet as I have loads to do both at work and home, but the moment I am off from work I plan to put my feet up and do as little as possible! This means I will definitely have time for a coffee!

I live at the top of Leigham Court Road in Streatham so it takes me about 10 minutes by bus to go to Streatham High Street and Crystal Palace. If you want to email me direct we can get in touch more instantly as I am likely to forget checking this site in the next weeks.. My email is [email protected] - I have a blackberry so I can receive your emails even after I have started my maternity leave.

I won't worry if I don't hear from you straigth away. I'll be home for 9.5 months from 20th June so there is time to get in touch later, even after our babies have been born. :-)

To those of you with older kids, it would be lovely to meet you too. I don't have any family here in the UK (a part from my husband) and none of my friends live nearby so it would be nice to get to know more women from the local area and someone with more experience when it come to children than myself! :-)

Take care everyone. Hope we manage to meet up one day!
