Not New Malden, definitely Wimbledon. Dinner and drinks somewhere yet to be confirmed.

Who's up for it then?

EyeballsintheSky · 28/02/2009 09:48

South Wimbledon a bit closer I should think. Aw, I haven't been to the Polka since I was on a school trip aged about 7. It was fab

EyeballsintheSky · 28/02/2009 09:49

That's teach me to read posts properly! Ever wish you could edit your posts?

Wimbledon is closer to the Wimbledon Theatre easily.

mehdismummy · 28/02/2009 09:57

thanks eye!!

BecauseImWorthIt · 28/02/2009 13:54

It's probably closer to Wimbledon, but not that much further from South Wimbledon tube.

OK. I'm off to Manchester with work and won't be back until Wednesday, so this is the last ditch effort before I decide it's all too difficult.

Please (pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!) sign up here if you want to come.

Copy and paste your name onto the list:

If you see this thread, could you keep it bumped until Wednesday, please?

Will make a decision then as to whether it's worth going ahead or not.

Bumpety bump.

Of course it's worth it!

PheasantPlucker · 03/03/2009 11:03

I am just back from a trip away, what's the score then laydees? (PS cannot afford Lighthouse this weekend, having just had a weekend away with best friend to celebrate birthdays in drunken fashion)

BecauseImWorthIt · 03/03/2009 12:27

Finally got connected to the internet after all kinds of palaver in the hotel!

Agree, Lighthouse too expensive - but not sure how many people are actually coming, as no-one has put their names down on the list!

Let's try again - copy and paste the list and add your name to it:

Do you want to just cancel? If so, let me know and I will plan to do something else on Saturday. Otherwise I look forward to meeting up.

Can I suggest you bump this plan into April. I think some of the people who might have come only just met up last week so it's a bit soon for another MN night out. I can do Wimbledon. But if I arrange to go on another night out in the very near future, I think I mihg find myself standing in divorce court.

Maybe propose a range of dates for April? (And bribe or threaten Jura until she agrees to one). Obviously, avoiding Easter and school break.

My favourite Starbucks is in Edinburgh. I know I know, who goes to Edinburgh to go to Starbucks. But the one in the bookstorre on Princes (Borders?) has a fab view of the castle and I lurve it!

BecauseImWorthIt · 04/03/2009 18:04

Well if everyone bothered to put their name on the list, we'd know who was still up for it!

Oh God, I hope you don't meet me and decide you hate me!!!!

BecauseImWorthIt · 04/03/2009 22:30

Why would we do that?! Or are you trying to confess something?!

You have no idea what me or Jura are like ...

PheasantPlucker · 05/03/2009 09:18

No, honestly, I am delightful!!! Have we got a venue? (Is is Confucius? I know it well, I worked at Polka Theatre for many a long year pre and slightly post children)

I came back from New York early Monday.... following scary cab ride careering across the roads in the snow at 5am..... most flights cancelled... we were stuck 3 hours on our plane.... then it got defrosted for 30 mins... and finally we were allowed to leave. Plane packed, full of all the other poor sods who had been there since the night before.... 8 inches (or 12 depending on which report you saw!) of snow!

The only advantage of being stuck on the plane all that time was that the ice had done something ghastly to the loos in JFK airport, and they were exploding with poo all over the floor. Twas v v grim!!

Hope Edinburgh is not like this!
