Hello all, you know who you are! A thread to sort out a meet up, and also to sort out a BIG NIGHT OUT!!!

OP posts:
spongebrainbigpants · 29/10/2008 19:33

Can't make the 21st but can make 10th for lunch - who else is in?

hedgehog1979 · 29/10/2008 19:34

marking this for the moment

poppy34 · 29/10/2008 19:47

putting this on my threads too -thanks essie

Amberc · 29/10/2008 20:25

Essie - i'll only do it on a night you're in London - when will you know when you'll be about in November?

Amberc · 29/10/2008 20:28

I can do 10th for lunch - where will it be this time? Wagamamas was good. Cheap, cheerful and plenty of space.

poppy34 · 29/10/2008 20:31

can't do 10th (well maybe able to if my friend drops her baby before then ) - as posted elsewhere my diary fairly clear provided dh around to babysit (and is not due to travel again.. and if he does ability to have a sibling may be hindered )

ThePenguinProject · 29/10/2008 21:31

I can do the 10th and the 21st (DH permitting).

I think we said Waterloo for the 10th...how about Giraffe on the South Bank again? Nice food and very baby friendly.

We should also do a Xmas menu somewhere in December. Unless we do that for our night out instead?

spongebrainbigpants · 30/10/2008 08:03

Giraffe on the 10th is good for me x

Amberc · 30/10/2008 16:28

Giraffe on 10th it is then and we get to meet that posh bird!

hedgehog1979 · 30/10/2008 17:48

i can even do the 10th, will go into london bridge though and walk

spongebrainbigpants · 30/10/2008 22:04

Lol at the posh bird Amber! I'm desperately practising my best Bristolian accent now so you don't all think I'm a stuck up cow!

Really looking forward to meeting most of you on the 10th x

hedgehog1979 · 30/10/2008 22:13

SBBP we could confuse them coz I am a west country lass too!!

spongebrainbigpants · 30/10/2008 22:20

Oohh, where are you from hedgehog? I was born in Somerset but brought up in Gloucester/Wrexham/Weston-Super-Mare/Portishead/Bristol. How about you?

Have we had this conversation before, btw? I have a vague recollection of discussing the west country when we were pg but my baby brain has removed the memory!

hedgehog1979 · 31/10/2008 09:06

Was born and bred in Taunton, then headed as far north as you can for Uni (newcastle) without going to Scotland!

Essie3 · 31/10/2008 11:47

Good God, I was only away for a minute!!

LOL at Sponge - every time someone says 'I'm from X' you respond by saying you've lived there!! I think the Wrexham negates the poshness, btw...

Alas, at the moment the 10th isn't looking good for me, as I'm at a conference in Wales 8-9th. I'm not taking part but people are staying with me. It does finish at lunchtime on the Sunday, but I'm not sure whether I can get back in time.

Amber will try to discuss dates with DH today! (Anyone else sick of this DH/DP business? The man's called Tim, it's not really a big secret!)

OP posts:
poppy34 · 31/10/2008 17:27

who is the posh bird amber -will I have to practice my best vocie and leave my iceland bag at home and use a proper carrier? really hoping that friend does have her baby so I can make it... essie I need alternative date too.

are we still going for 21st for night out or is that what essie is checking on (sorry slow brain today)

spongebrainbigpants · 31/10/2008 20:03

poppy, I think Amber was referring to me after my appearance on youtube! I won't pass any comment on your Iceland bag I promise!

Essie, for the record I have also lived in London (Uxbridge, Hayes, West Drayton, Hendon, Ealing, Hanwell and Streatham), York, Cheltenham, Basingstoke and Wokingham! Bit of a gypsy me - hence the total lack of west country accent!

Oh, and lol at the idea that it's only Wrexham that negates the poshness - have you ever been to Gloucester or Weston-Super-Mare?!!!!!

Hedgehog, does that mean you were born in Musgrove Park by any chance?!

Upsidedowncake · 31/10/2008 20:22

Thanks for setting this up, Essie. I'm afraid I can't do either 10th or 21st. Just back from a week away in Oxfordshire and catching up o all your news.

x UDC

poppy34 · 31/10/2008 20:23

I am concerned where amber is tonight..she could be starting a virtual scrap somewhere

FiveGoMadInDorset · 31/10/2008 20:25

Hey I can do posh or Dorset, might persuade DH to let me come up to the big city for a night out, He is currently into the shooting season so I get left with guests, DD and DS.

poppy34 · 31/10/2008 20:43

ohh -that'd be good 5gomad .. I can get to meet you really and we can discuss the archers and ebooks

FiveGoMadInDorset · 31/10/2008 20:45

Looking foward to Sundays episode. For dates, back from holiday on 5th December weekdays are good and weekends are hit and miss.

Amberc · 01/11/2008 07:22

Sorry just been released from the cells - rozzers had to come and pull me off some bird who told me how to make up my baby's bottle. So now a bit confused - I have definite 10th November for lunch at Giraffe TBC Essie. Night out possibly 21st TBC Essie and 5 to come back with possibilities on dates - is that right? Not good at this organisation malarky (not good considering I'm a PA!!).

hedgehog1979 · 01/11/2008 09:24

sbbp was actually born in East Reach Hospital, although mum got transfered to musgrove after the birth

I can def do 10th but not 21st as we are off to Newcastle then for a university reunion - although if anyone else says doesn't he look like DH before acknowledging me I may join amber in the cells!!

poppy34 · 01/11/2008 11:54

amber I am so upset that I've missed out on chance to tell rozzers that it couldn't be her mate , she was in all night with me or leave it amber it ain't worth it...

Think you're right re dates amber
