SM - don't know about hotels, but Terre a terre is a sublime veggie restaurant - very kid friendly (box of toys and great kids food).

Check on Babygoes2.com see if they have any uk hotels in B'ton.

Alfresco restaurant, cheap and cheerful italian on the sea front overlooking beach is very child friendly.

I checked babygoes2 and nothing in the area. Thanks for the restaurant ideas!

desperatehousewife · 31/03/2005 15:47

there's a great website listing all hotels in area - virtualbrightonandhove I think it's called. Try that.

Pinocchios gets my vote because it's so good and so cheap. I'm on major budget at the moment. I guess we are leaving kids at home are we?

noddyholder · 05/04/2005 14:32

Cam · 06/04/2005 19:12

That sounds good noddy, to have a beach meeting with children when the weather gets better. As for Pinnochios this time I vote for no children

Tortington · 06/04/2005 23:38

no kids i dont like 'em very much and that includes mi own

great stuff see you all then

starlover · 07/04/2005 13:34

i can't come. can't leave ds

desperatehousewife · 07/04/2005 18:06

well up for no kids - we might even get a conversation at some point. My god....not sure if I remember how to have one though...I'll be the one sitting in the corner, dribbling, knocking back the G&Ts and jibbering.

Cazabela - don't worry - I'm shitting bricks! Never done this before (like a blind date isn't it?!) Am absolutely DREADING the bit where I have to walk into the restaurant and not know a SOUL. Aaaaaarrrrghhh. But know that after a bev or two and half an hour it will all be ok.

unicorn · 07/04/2005 18:09

don't worry desperateh..

I met this motley crew last time...
I just ended up following a tall, blonde, glam woman (Cam!!) and evesdropped which table she was asking for, and as if by magic it was MN!!!

everyone is lovely, and again, fear not- tis me who is the drunk!!!!

Tortington · 07/04/2005 18:10

nay tis me who is the drunk

desperatehousewife · 07/04/2005 18:11

No but I'm totally socially inept these days - have nothing to say - well nothing that's coherent or vaguely intelligent anyway. What table do we ask for - the 'mumsnet table' ??

Should I wear a flower or tell you all of my distinguishing feature (I've got two heads and havne't lost any of my preg weight - from 3 years ago!)

desperatehousewife · 07/04/2005 18:12

oh no - you all know each other! Is it just me and Caz that don't know anyone?

Billy no mates....sob, sniffle....

unicorn · 07/04/2005 18:15

'I was a meetup virgin'.. until this lot ,ahem, broke me in....!!!!

It really isn't that bad!!! (with 12 bottles of wine or so, it's a complete doddle!!!!!)

desperatehousewife · 07/04/2005 18:16

what - you're suggesting I sink 12 bottles before I chip up are you? Definatley can't drink that much!

Looking forward to it in a perverse sort of way.

Although still think it would be weird if I realised that one of you was infact someone I know from RL. That could happen right?

Tortington · 07/04/2005 18:19

i think its noddy who is booking the table - so you will have to go in with astraight face and say - "table for noddy please"

its all good fun

desperatehousewife · 07/04/2005 18:22
