Please add requests.

I'm thinking of making a few cds

A- slow quiet things

Mamas & Papas - dream a little dream as an example so
James Morrison / Keane/ Beatles? / portishead etc, that kind of ilk.

B - more partyish but quiet things

i.e 'sweet dreams', moloko, orbital, jackson 5 etc etc

C - full on cheese - downtown, say a little prayer, hell even living on a prayer.

D - weepy power ballads

I will compile what I can from the albums I have (feckloads) and get the rest from i tunes. Then at the venue we can switch and change depending on the mood.

Bring em on.

D'oh!

Sorry, thought I'd pressed all the right buttons to make it open access, obviously missed one somewhere....

Try this!

lovecat · 16/10/2008 14:38

And double D'oh! - there is also an IndieDisco category, for all you fans of 80's/90's/00's Indie

SaTanicGore · 16/10/2008 14:42

So the 60s/70s rock I requested isn't in then?

Flamesparrow · 16/10/2008 14:45

add it stg!

SaTanicGore · 16/10/2008 14:47

Can't be arsed flamey.

Having a bad day, fed up of my opinion getting ignored (RL) and now getting ignored here too.

So to it all.

FimboGotAxed · 16/10/2008 14:48

I am not even coming but you have to have YMCA and Dancing Queen.

Flamesparrow · 16/10/2008 14:51

Aww stg - If I knew what you wanted, I would add it for you

SaTanicGore · 16/10/2008 14:54

I was only meaning this thread, but wouldn't be surprised if I am getting ignored on another. Story of my life at the moment.

Sorry, having a downer. I'm going to turn the PC off.

Spidermama · 16/10/2008 14:57

Tech house or nothing for me.

Flamesparrow · 16/10/2008 15:00

Step away from the off switch!

lovecat · 16/10/2008 15:56

StG, you didn't give me any names - given the wide variety of stuff there is out there, could you be teensy bit more specific please ? I was thinking of some Hawkwind, Floyd and Zeppelin but am aware not everyone thinks of them as rock...?

Not ignoring you, honest!

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/10/2008 10:16

Whats up STG? Hope you are okay.

eandz, I'm very close to you! But I might be going on to a party in Whitechapel, depending on what time I leave and how tipsy I am.

orangina · 20/10/2008 17:21

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 21/10/2008 13:46

pink martini are fab.

I'm going to make a huge list this afternoon of what I've got, including all the requests here and on the other thread, and add them to lovecats spreadsheet, then if anything essential is missing I'll get it from itunes (got stacks of credit on it)

OP posts:
SixSpotBonfire · 21/10/2008 14:04

I was just trying to add Born Slippy by Underworld to the spreadsheet when it went ping! and disappeared.

Anyway, I would like that, please, and perhaps some Daft Punk and maybe some Chemical Brothers?

And can I just say, to the God-like Genius who has suggested "Party Fears Two" by The Associates - I think I love you! That will take me right back to my Pernod-and-black drinking (and chundering) days!

eandz · 04/11/2008 23:45

hmm has this thread died?

lovecat · 09/11/2008 21:31

Hello!

Have got Born Slippy and will add it in. Looking forward to getting your updates, TDWP.

Party Fears Two is probably one of my favourite student era songs...I'm so glad someone else likes it too!

lovecat · 11/11/2008 08:56

TDWP - CAT ME PLEASE!!!

Otherwise, ladeez, you will be stuck with my record collection plus the requests on't spreadsheet...

St G - I am not ignoring you, honest! Classic rock is such a humungously broad genre that I need a leetle steerage on who and what... having conferred with DH (an old metalhead) and ignored taken on board his eulogy to Judas Priest, how do the following grab you?:

Rolling Stones - Satisfaction, She's A Rainbow
Beatles - I saw her standing there, Twist & shout
Led Zep - Rock n' Roll, the Immigrant Song
Springsteen - Born to Run
Kinks - All Day (and all of the night)
Derek and the Dominoes - Layla

And the list already includes:

Europe - The Final Countdown
Guns n' Roses - Paradise City
Simple Minds - Don't You (forget about me)
Bon Jovi - Livin' on a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name
Doobie Brothers - Long Train Runnin' (remix)
T Rex - 20th Century Boy

Is that okay?
