There are shoo-shoos, which are lovely soft leather for when they're not yet walking. The wee boots that I had for dd when she atarted walked were elephanten

just had a look online for elefanten, and can't see many infany shoes at all.

BTW First Footers in inverness are excellent for shoe fitting and service, much better than Clarks {IMO and many other)
