Lunch in the city

prufrock · 30/01/2003 23:34

here it is bk - if you can forgive my other comment!
So who's up for lunch in the city one weekday.
And where can we go?
Somewhere near to Bank or Tower Hill would probably be best as at least me and bells will be coming from the Wharf.
I can't do 7-14th Feb week, but am pretty much free after that at the moment.

yikes prufrock, what other comment? sri thai on queen victoria st? as far as availability goes day of the week is more relevant for me atm, tues, weds, thurs tend to be bad, mon or fri probably ok.

bossykate · 31/01/2003 07:41

now i've seen it - don't worry!

jemw · 31/01/2003 13:52

Hi, lunch in the city would be great, I can do Mon/Tues/Wed, and am based near Tower Bridge.

Marina · 31/01/2003 18:05

Can do that and second Sri Thai as a good central venue for city lunchers. Pretty flexible about dates at the minute, thanks for organising Prufrock!

NQWWW · 19/02/2003 16:15

Is this still on?

prufrock · 20/02/2003 12:37

Oh God completely forget - Yes It definately is as soon as I get my finger out. So:

Sri Thai, Queen Victoria St, Either Friday 28th February, Monday 3rd March or Friday 7th March depending on which gets the most votes.

bells2 · 20/02/2003 14:32

I can do Monday but not Fridays as I don't work that day.

NQWWW · 20/02/2003 20:20

Mon 3rd March gets my vote (I only work Mon-Wed)

bossykate · 20/02/2003 20:29

hi prufrock, mon 3rd works for me. thanks for doing the organising. no video this time ok? although i'm sure a staid city lunch would not yield much embarrassing footage in any event...

CAM · 20/02/2003 22:35

Re the video Prufrock. I sent my email to you via tech but have not received the pics from you. Are they that bad?

jemw · 20/02/2003 22:39

monday 3rd good for me also, thanks for organising, jemw

bells2 · 24/02/2003 09:23

Oh what a shame, I can't make it next Monday. Hope you all have fun.

prufrock · 26/02/2003 13:31

Sri Thai booked for 4 - 12.30 Monday 3rd March. Name of Wilson. See you there.

Marina - let me know if you can make it - I can adjust the booking easily

Bells - can you make a quickie in the wharf instead some day or are you off food at the moment?

CAM - it will be coming when I can figure out how to download it properly - I'm finding I'm not as technically adept as I thought I was.

Moi off food -never!. I can certainly do lunch pretty much anytime at C Wharf. Just unfortunate that we are taking a long weekend next weekend.

Wills · 26/02/2003 14:14

Prufrock - I've only just seen this thread. Can I join in?

prufrock · 26/02/2003 14:59

Of course Wills - will amend booking tomorrow in case we get anymore

OP posts:
Cityfreak · 26/02/2003 16:46

I would like to join you too, but I am afraid that things come up very unexpectedly at work, so I may have to drop out on Monday morning. Hope that is OK.

Marina · 26/02/2003 19:32

Yes please Prufrock, but will have to do a "scoff and run" that day as we are a bit short-staffed. (I will also PAY before running, of course).

prufrock · 27/02/2003 11:07

Marina - you're only allowed if you can talk with your mouth full.

Cityfreak - no prob - I'll get tech to send you my number so you can call and let me know if you can't come last minute

OP posts:
prufrock · 03/03/2003 08:59

Ok - table at Sri Thai is now booked for 7 people at 12.30
See you all there

Prufrock, I am sorry, I am going to have to bow out. We are still further down on our usual numbers this morning and lunchtime is our busiest time. I hope you all have a nice time and I'm very sorry to miss you all on this occasion (not to mention the Pad Thai...)

Wills · 03/03/2003 11:48

Prufrock - tonnes of applogies but I'm going to have to pull out. I hate doing this but my Mum's been pulled into hospital thankfully, but its caused havoc to our childcare arrangements. My dd is already put out at having me drop her off at hospital and although my dh is leaving work at lunch time to pick her up (she only does half days) I'm going to have to leave early to get back and take over giving him time to pick up on work at home. All very last minute but although I'm glad Mum's finally going to get some treatment its an awful shame to have to miss out. Please include me if you do this again, in fact I shall probably be pushing to do one in a fortnight/month's time since I think its an excellent idea. Hope everyone has a lovely lunch and Prufrock if you post the Restaurant's number I'll phone and make my appologies. Sorry

Wills · 03/03/2003 11:49

Sorry dd has gone to nursery - I really am going to have to learn to preview before posting.

bossykate · 03/03/2003 11:53

hi, will see you there, it's been touch and go about whether i would have to cancel, but i'm still on. unfortunately have to leave at 1.45pm and no later!

looking forward to it, see you shortly!

bossykate · 03/03/2003 15:51

hello everyone. so nice to meet most of you again and jemw for the first time. much too short!

prufrock, thanks for organising!
