Next city lunch will be at Pizza Pomodoro - very close to Liverpool St Station, 5 minutes walk from Moorgate. Date - Wednesday 23rd February at 12:30.

Anybody welcome, just post here to confirm.
Would love to meet some new city mums - c'mon you know you want to

I'll be bringing dd2 with me, so a highchair would be good, otherwise she'll be bottomshuffling around the restaurant like greased lightning!

Kayleigh · 09/02/2005 11:02

no problem frogs. can't wait to see her again. she is a such a cutie.

Oh poo. Got excited when I saw this as I now feel up to a trip into London. But ho hum, I am off to Scotland to visit the family that week. Will hopefully join you at the March one girls (no longer tiny DD included). Enjoy the cheesecake.

When do you need to have booked up by Kayleigh? Only I think I could quite easily make it from where I live but not sure I have the guts .

Tiggus · 11/02/2005 12:49

ooh newbie here - ex-City worker ant here but love an excuse to come up - not a great date but could do next one?

Kayleigh · 11/02/2005 13:31

Tiggus, would love to meet you, keep an eye on threads and let us know when there is a date that's good for you.

Flossam, go on do it. You know you want too
We are all quite normal . I book the table a week before but adjust it on the day as there are always a couple of drop outs or extras.
Is it a yes then ????

I would love to come (getting braver!) but I'm not at work that day. Hopefully next time.

Do you all work around EC2?

NotQuiteCockney · 11/02/2005 13:44

I'd love to, but DS1 is only part-time at school, needs collecting at 12:30. He'll probably be full-time by the next meet, so maybe I'll manage that.

(I don't work in the City, but I used to, and I still live reasonably close.)

Flossam · 11/02/2005 13:48

I think I'd like to, but although I work in central london it's as a nurse so don't know if I can compare to all you high flying types! On mat leave with DS at the moment. I'll let you know by tues then Kayleigh, see if I can work up some dutch courage but give you a chance of working out the numbers. I would like to meet some 'real' mnetters!

Kayleigh · 11/02/2005 13:50

Wow, loads of possibles for later meets. That's great. Can't speak for everyone but most of us work in EC2 and EC3 or within 10-15 minutes walking distance of liverpool st station.. Frogs works at home and comes with her ds2.

Looking forward to meeting you soon.

a very maybe - work is hotting up again, but in particular would love to see Twinkie+Max, and meet lisalisa (esp since I've been feeling faintly guilty about suggesting she start an education thread which looked like it might have gone controversial - though didn't, and is in fact very interesting!)

binkie · 16/02/2005 16:15

Definitely take the day off! It's my b'day on the Friday (25th) and - apart from the fact that certain parties on the other side insist they cannot possibly make a closing on ANY OTHER DAY - presence in the office that day will be minimal

Sallie · 17/02/2005 15:25

Would have loved to have come to this but don't work Wednesdays. Do bear me in mind for the next one - Pizza Pomodoro would have been fab for me as work just behind Liverpool St Station.

Flossam · 19/02/2005 18:31

Ok, I think I'll come! I need to get out, been quite a quiet few weeks. Is is ok to bring DS (16 weeks) too? looking forward to meeting you!

galaxy · 19/02/2005 20:32

I'll have to give this is a miss as we are going away on Thursday so I need to get things sorted. Shame as I've not done a City one yet

Kayleigh · 20/02/2005 19:52

Flossam, of course you can bring the little one. Look forward to meeting you both.
Galaxy shame you can't make it - maybe next time.

For all those that don't work Wednesdays I will definitely arrange the next one on a Tuesday and the one after on a Thursday. That should keep everyone happy ! Oh, and if there is anyone who only works mondays & Fridays you will have to organise a meet-up yourself as i don't work those days and I am not magnanimous enough to arrange a meet-up i won't be attending
