Watford/Barnet/Herts Day meetup - February

Well..,decided to do it Kayleigh.. have started another meetup thread when I swore I wouldn't... hopefully I won't have to change my name back to LMScatterbrain again...

Roll up roll up.. new meetup.. Fri 4th or 11th of Feb 12pm at Topsy Turvy at Brent Cross.

Apparently it's £3.50 off-peak (9:30-3:30) and £4.95 after 3:30, so I think a 12:00 meetup would be good. They say it's 45min slots but noone has told us to leave after that time (we've been twice). Who's up for it and which is your preferred date?

Thanks alot, but I can't make it as dh is at work, so no-one to babysit! Have only had 3 evenings out in the last 14 months, so like to make sure I save my escapes for something really important too! . Err, not that you aren't all very important, but you know what I mean!
We had our first visit to Topsy Turvy yesterday... superb! Wish ds was a bit bigger to keep up with me! I'd get a bit more exercise out of it then...(will still need to meet you Karen99, as went by car, so clueless about direction!)

Yes, it's still on. Some of us saw each other at the evening meet last week so we were talking 'in the flesh'. I guess that eliminated the need for chatting as much on here!

Hi Ixel, sorry, got your CAT.. was going to reply this week to sort it out. Wanted to hear what you thought of it with your friend! It's quite 'compact' but has everything they would need, especially for toddlers. There's one near us called Fantasy Island which is really big, great for the 5+'s, but quite dirty, which is the main concern for toddlers. Kidsports in Watford is a bit bigger than the Brent Cross one. There is also one in Bushy which I went to an MN meetup at, Linchensfield Park or something, which was HUGE (but again a cleanliness issue for the crawling babes). Is your ds walking (I can't remember how old he is now!)

Let's meet outside Monsoon at 11:50 and we can walk over together.

Is 12:00 still a good time for everyone?

See you at 11.50!Might be with friend.This sounds like a frightening excuse to arrive at the shops early and spend money.
Ds can just about walk holding on with one hand now, but he climbs and crawls like an expert!There is nothing safe in our flat now
He's usually asleep 12-2, but we can do it in reverse, and he can play, eat, then sleep a bit later.So 12 is fine with us.

Great! My ds sleeps around 1pm, but once he's in a softplay place he gets a second wind!

Best bring some snacks or drinks with you as it's lunchtime (am I stating the obvious!?). The food there isn't too over-priced compared to some soft-play places. All healthy too, no choc etc. (though they do sell double-choc-chip muffins!)

Im ok ish , bit drained.Have a to come or not to come on my snotty thread!!?? DD is physically trying to push me away from here !!!!Not happy bunny unlesss sitting with her. They are all over the flu now and they have given it to me. Yes, I succumbed in the end! But I don't think I've had such a rough time with it as they did, and it is the first time I've caught anything for a couple of years, I think.

I'm almost over it now, a bit of a cough, no worse than all of them who started 10 days before me!

I hope you manage to come along, I was looking forward to seeing you.
