Saturday's good for me then i won't be rushing home from work on a friday evening to get changed and get back to JA's and i can stay in bed on the sunday . I'll need to check that ds can sleep at my mums on the saturday instead of friday when we do it though cos dh won't be able to pick me up if ds is asleep in bed at home.

Does anyone know of a park nearish to Wakefield centre which has a fenced in bit where I could let DS run around? Actually, scrap that! I've just looked out of the window and it looks like it is going to pour down

No Itsa can't do Cheeky Monkeys, dh is off work so we're doing something with ds once we can be arsed to get dressed

Righto - Knickers isn't feeling well and isn't going, so I didn't want to go and be on my own. What a scaredy cat, eh?

Have you been to Thornes Park itsa? I only discovered it last year despite living here for eight years The DSes love it, but if you have any fear of geese, stay well away

Morning everyone

I'm having an all over the place morning today. The window men got here at 7:30 which would have been brilliant on a normal morning, but today Ben decided he would have rather had a lie in typical! I'm hoping they'll be finished soon as they're only putting 2 windows in. The dogs are all over the place and annoying the life out of them every time they come through downstairs

Itsa i go to Cheeky monkeys most Fridays, and there's usually a couple of people there on their own (must admit i was very nervous the first time i went on my own) so you don't really feel uncomfortable.

Knickers hope you're okay. Make sure you get some rest (if poss with dd )

Fatzak, I have driven past Thornes Park, does that count? Do they have a playpark bit with swings and stuff? I might venture that way at the weekend.

Yes there's a swing and slide bit at Thornes Park Itsa and it's fenced in. There's a nice looking one in Sandal (well its actually Portobello but Sandal sounds better ) You can see it if you drive down Barnsley Road.

i went to meadowhall had a loverly dinner at there! no shopping though lol, nice having a little time to myelf, (no kids or dh) saying that felt a little guilty going as chloes having a few sezures at moment( glad no one noticed yesterday she had one while at jellybeans) thats why she went to sleep it knocks her out por mite

Yeah I went to Asda. Not quite the same as CM for DS, but he didn't seem to mind

Glad you enjoyed your day, Trace. I didn't notice yesterday at all - I saw she had gone to sleep though. YOu still have to look after yourself and keep yourself happy and sane to her sake.

We went to Playmania but it was packed so didn't bother going in, we went to Bluebell Inn pub in Barnsley which has a good soft play area that Lewis loved . We had our dinner there but you can just go there and go straight in the play bit. The bar man knocked a glass of J20 all over me though but we got our drinks for free

We then went to Canon Hall farm, its the first time i've ever been. There were cute teeny tiny baby rabbits there plus loads of lambs and baby goats. Lew wasn't keen on the animals though but the outdoor play area is fab (i was even running round like a big kid myself on everything ) If it hadn't of been so cold we'd have spent ages there

lol trace we do that do. We could spend the day in Asda . You know last week when you rang to see if you could come to ours and i said we were at Asda and won't be long? We were an hour and half in there

The playground at Cannon Hall is about the best there is in the area isn't it! Would be good if you could pay just to use that rather than the farm as well.
