Thanks again Squiffy. Had a great time.

So we talked a bit about this yeterday, but let's pick up the conversation where we left off. I think we discused:

A self catering rental for the weekend.
Where shall we go?
Page62, did you say you have a book of places?

Bring 2 nannies and mums can go out for dinner/drinks. So self catering place should be walking distanse to pubs/restaurants?

So..... let's discuss places and dates...

I am happy to take an extra adult in my car BW, but don't think I think I can get any more little ones in the car. It is technically possible to wedge three car seats across the back. But, not ideal.

I'm sure we can organise transportation for anyone who needs it.

OP posts:
bertieboo · 01/04/2008 15:43

I can take an adult and a child as long as no one is sick in my car....

Should we propose more dates for a vote. I would like to choose a date that everyone can definitely make (if that's possible).

04-06 July

All dates are Fri-Sun.

I can do all dates but would have to take a rain check on the nanny, found her in the local pub last night (got hauled in for v pub quiz), and she was very down, suspect her BF is turning the screws again to try to get her to move up to Manchester, so not sure what is happening there....

Oh no! Is your nanny packing it in to go up north (yuck)?

I hope it wasn't something we said/did over the weekend?

OP posts:
AtheneNoctua · 02/04/2008 19:25

Oh, I can probably bring a nanny. Would have to ask her, but I think she'd jump at the chance.

I'm going to be so sad when she leaves. Why do the good ones have to go?!?!?!?!

OP posts:
bertieboo · 04/04/2008 14:55

Unfortunately I can only make a couple of the planned weekends.... And I am making an assumption my nanny can make it, but can confirm once we have decided on the date.

bossykate · 21/04/2008 09:15

assuming this is with kids since nannies are coming?

could everyone please state ages and gender of their offspring? i do have a boisterous boy of 6 you know!

seriously, i wouldn't bring my 2 if they were the only "older" children - ds is 6 and dd is 3. they are lively and active - they won't sit and do colouring, they will have fun at a play area!

anyway, i will have a look at the diary and let you know if that is ok

we really should have an emoticon

AtheneNoctua · 21/04/2008 09:41

Hiya BK. Mine are 5 and almost 3. And there are a couple more 4 and 5 year olds.

OP posts:
AtheneNoctua · 21/04/2008 12:26

Where is everybody??????

OP posts:
Page62 · 21/04/2008 14:04

if my nanny is coming, i will take my 2 year old as well. If not, just DD who is 4 and a bit! (given my DS jumps out of travel cots and has managed to go over a stairgate....i think everyone agree this would wise!).

AtheneNoctua · 21/04/2008 14:19

Oh, I can't wait for you to threaten the naughty step and call out "1!" just for him to reply "2!"...

OP posts:
AtheneNoctua · 21/04/2008 14:30

What do you guys think of this place?

www.groupaccommodation.com/propertydetails.asp?adId=796

OP posts:
AtheneNoctua · 21/04/2008 14:41

Or this is a possibility, though not sure if it's big enough?

www.groupaccommodation.com/propertydetails.asp?adId=944

I'm pretty much going on the assumption that adults need beds and kids can sleep in travel cots or sleeping bags. So, while our numbers are actually higher, I think it won't matter since most of us are children.

Oh, and whoever the two nannies end up being, they would share a room.

bossykate · 22/04/2008 22:25

Hi Athene et al.

Very sorry got carried away with "desires" v "practicalities". For a variety of reasons, I'm afraid I won't be able to make it
.

perhaps you have guessed am v keen to socialise with this group but not quite getting it together right now!

have a wonderful time

OP posts:

oh what a shame bossykate.

as you can all see, i stil have hang-ups from high school.

btw, will CAT re book club, interested!

Squiffy · 23/04/2008 15:21

Ooo, I like the look of those places, athena.

Bossykate, I got all excited that more people were joining this thread, what a shame you can't make it - your DC's are bang on the money age-wise - last meet up we had they ranged from around 9mths to 5 yrs.

Nanny crisis has abated for the moment so once we pick a date I will check with her...

Oh, and I have located those hummingbird bakeries so the cup cakes will be on me this time.

legalalien · 23/04/2008 15:36

somehow have managed to miss this thread progressing over the last three weeks. Think I'm going to have to take a rain check on this one - can't do the July dates and there is the looming threat of a visit from overseas in June - don't want to commit and then pull out if it eventuates!

legalalien · 23/04/2008 15:38

ps BK - I have also CAT'd you re the book club - did you get the message?

AtheneNoctua · 23/04/2008 15:44

I don't mean to be pushy (snicker snicker) but I think we need to pick a date, determine how many of us are coming, and check out the venues. If we wait much longer we may find availability is nil.
