So... who's up for it then?!!

I'm in NW10 and can do Mon, Tues and Thurs.

Count me in.

I'm in NW6 but can be flexible about where to meet.

Would work best for me after 15 april when DS1 back at school

tyaca · 20/03/2008 22:05

in but terrified about travelling around with lo tbh. errrrmmmm... all days seem the same to me...

just a thought, but a nighttime meetup sans lo's not a totally leftfield idea given that no matter where we are in london, it'll be a bit of a slog for most of us.

Gill79 · 20/03/2008 22:33

whereabouts are NW10 and 6?

beansprout · 20/03/2008 22:40

Willesden in my case (NW10) and NW6 is Kilburn/West Hampstead.

Well not too close to me but buses do funny things - I can have a look and see if there's one that goes in that direction as def not going to attempt the u!

LOVEMYMUM · 22/03/2008 22:19

I'd like to come but getting out and about is a bit of a nightmare for me. I had a c-section on Feb 27 and not really going anywhere at the moment. (Taking painkillers twice a day.)

Maybe I'll skip this meet-up and if another one happens after this, i'll try my best to attend. Have a lovely time everyone.

omy · 23/03/2008 10:08

I am up for it. I am in W3 and have a car so can get to most places...(beany I remember your nice post about queens park - know it well - could that work or is it too far for some? I remember someone is near tower bridge...)

mutha2beagain · 23/03/2008 11:00

Queens Park great for me - there is quite a nice cafe in the park there which might be a possibility

Slacker · 23/03/2008 12:31

When is this meetup planned for? If it's in the next couple of weeks I might come as kids are on school holidays so it's good to get them out, and DH works in W London so could go up to London with him and then have the car.

Trying to think where's nice in NW London, Kenwood? The playground in Regents pk is v good but if no one else is bringing kids older than a few weeks that's irrelevant! I used to go to Highgate woods all the time for play/cafe when I lived near there but that's a bit far over for you west Londoners...have never been to Queens Park but sure that's nice too

tyaca, when DS3 was 3 weeks old we went on hols and I had to go from finsbury pk to heathrow on the tube with him...just stuck him in the baby bjorn and it was no problem. It's really not that hard to get out and about with a baby: sling, bag with change of nappies/clothes, what else do you need? What aspect of getting out is it you're worried about, maybe we can reassure you? (sorry if that sounds patronising, just want to help)

tyaca · 23/03/2008 13:52

like lovemymum, i'm going to have to give this one a miss. those of us who popped towards the end are going to play the too delicate card

i'll take the initiative and instigate an april london meet up.... and with the help (hopefully!) of sarf londoners mitfordsis and cosima, i'll try to drag the action towards the river (and YES, i promise to leave my gun at home)

Gill79 · 25/03/2008 11:07

excuse my ignorance. I've looked up Queen Park on google earth. Is it the place NW of Regents pk and south west of Hampstead Heath on the bakerloo line? It's just I can't see an actual park there......

Gill79 · 25/03/2008 12:28

google MAPS that is not google earth.Doh.

janx · 25/03/2008 20:32

Hi
Wonder if I could join in -live in Stoke Newington with a 4 month old and a 3 year old

Gill79 · 25/03/2008 21:57

Oooh hi Janx I'm a stokey mummy too! (Well actually Haringey but spiritually Stokey and for all baby activities).

janx · 26/03/2008 10:48

Hi Gill79
I am a bit out of touch with the baby groups as I used to go to loads with my daughter but that was 3 years ago and its a bit different with two! Which ones do you go to/recommend? I used to go to Defoe road and grasshoppers
Is there a meet up planned here?

omy · 26/03/2008 20:30

gill - yes it is near queens park tube (5 min walk)

Gill79 · 31/03/2008 21:54

Hi Janx I go to postnatal yoga at Clissold Leisure centre (Thursdays 1130 - 1 bring the baby into the class and there's a creche too for your older one). Other than that there's just another class I do at the doctors - haven't started swimming or music or anything yet. No meet-up planned for Stokey but we could meet!

janx · 04/04/2008 15:12

Hi Gill79
I have just joined a pilates class at Yogahome - in the evening though. I completely forgot about looking at Clissold. Went back to the Defoe road group on Thursday with the baby and my daughter which was nice. I am up for meeting - best days for me are Mon-Weds when my little girl goes to Nursery.

Gill79 · 04/04/2008 18:41

hi janx - i've sent you a message with CAT so we can take it off-line - hopefully it's worked!

beansprout · 05/04/2008 19:59
