Mehdismummy - you haven't offended me chuck, i've not been home for a few days, went to stay with my mum for a bit and only just managed to get online!

mehdismummy · 25/01/2008 08:47

right topsy turvey is in brent cross. Its gonna be a trek for you but worth it. It will be ok for your ds because i will be quiet as its monday. Do you want to come to highgate bus 214 from camden. Then come up with me?

OP posts:
theUrbanDryad · 25/01/2008 09:54

mehdismummy · 25/01/2008 11:51

I'm here! I'm up for it! Let's set a date, shall we? Topsy Turvy or similar? Brent Cross is not the most scenic place in the world, but it's on loads of bus routes or if you drive, has parking. I'm around all day Monday and Tuesday, and Wed/Thu/Fri mornings, or of course most weekends.

On the plus side for Topsy Turvy: it has a baby play area upstairs, then downstairs there's an 'under 5s' bit (which is a bit basic, but good for crawling/toddling babies) and the main softplay bit for older kids. It's pretty empty on weekdays before lunchtime-ish, and you can sit and have a coffee/lunch practically on top of the kids - good for parents of babies (or those who can't take their eyes off their monkeys for a second, like me). Yay....we can all make half conversation while chasing round after our little 'uns .
people with really young babies can still come, too, of course!

Downside - quite far from Camden mums, although on the tube...

mehdismummy · 25/01/2008 12:01

yes loveangel. We gonna meet this monday at 1145 outside mothercare brent cross. Topsy it is gonna be sugarmatches and flatpack coming. Are you in?

theUrbanDryad · 25/01/2008 19:04

ooh ooh ooh!! dh has said i can have the oyster card and he'll drive to work!!

what's the plan then?

mehdismummy · 25/01/2008 19:28

excellent news. The plan is to go to topsy turvey in brent cross. We all meeting at brent cross outside mothercare. Now where about do you come into from where you live?

OP posts:
theUrbanDryad · 25/01/2008 19:44

i live on the end of the metropolitan line, so i can get into baker street...

theUrbanDryad · 25/01/2008 19:47

what time? not too early i hope. also i'm not sure where mothercare is...

mehdismummy · 25/01/2008 19:47

hold it right there. Will find out best route for you. Back in five.

OP posts:
theUrbanDryad · 25/01/2008 19:48

Baker St then Kings X is the best for me...

mehdismummy · 25/01/2008 20:02

or get off at baker street and go to bus stop t. It is very near st i think it dorset square. (ask some random person!) and get on bus 189 that takes you directly to brent cross shopping centre. Get off bus. Mothercare ground floor. Opposite marks and spencers. Takes about forty mins. There you go bobs your uncle. Fannys your aunt!
