Anyone else??Smile

gscrym · 06/12/2004 14:24

Anybody?

If we're going this week, we need to get things sorted soon. I don't know child friendly places in glasgow.

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 06/12/2004 16:13

I'm fine for either Thursday.
I have booked to see Santa in Frasers this Thursday so will be in the city centre anyway (couldn't believe you had to book in advance!!) but if the following Thursday suits others better thats fine with me too.
Not sure where is really child friendly, that wont be too busy this time of year. Theres always the basement of princes square where children can run about, or upstairs in the St Enochs centre where there is a childrens play area?
Any other suggestions???

xxsummerxx · 06/12/2004 16:43

Both places you have suggested seem fine, I cant really think of anywhere else either. Everywhere will just be so busy just now, I was in town on Saturday getting my engagement ring and the place was heaving.

Its not really a problem where we go for me as my son is only 4months old, so wherever suits everyone else is fine with me.

Elaine.

gscrym · 06/12/2004 18:15

How about Thursday this week then, seeing as Aimsmum is in town anyhoo. I think It'll be worse next week with all the last minute Christmas shoppers. What time is your appointment with Santa? AM for coffee and cake would be better for me so that I can avoid the hell that is Auchenkilns roundabout and the Stepps bypass in the evening.

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 06/12/2004 18:19

My Santa appointment is at 2. But I would be quite happy to meet in the morning if that suited you better cos I still have a lot of christmas shopping to do anyway. And I would be able to get some of that done too.

Congratulations summer on your engagementSmile

mumofelise · 06/12/2004 21:58

room for a wee one?

XmasMcMudding · 06/12/2004 22:02

Thursday this week is fine for me too. I'm happy with either Princes Square or St Enochs.

The morning would be good for me because I'm meeting up with my mum in the afternoon in town. Cake and a run around for ds might just be the ideal boost to keep him going through a whole day of Xmas shopping Grin

Will keep checking to see what's decided. But I'm still keen to meet up whether there are loads of us or just a couple.

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 06/12/2004 22:06

Of course mumofelise, does this thursday suit you ok?

gscrym · 07/12/2004 08:27

How about either 10 oclock at the front of Princes Square. If we know definately where we're going then at least if anyone is a little late, they should find us. We'll be the fleet of pushchairs with the army of kiddliewinks, eating the mountain of cake!

OP posts:
AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 07/12/2004 10:43

OK then 10 o clock at the front of Princes Sqaure is fine for me.

So are we all OK with this?

colette · 07/12/2004 16:44

If ds is in better form he is teething and really grumpy I will come - may be slightly late but I am sure I will spot you all . So please talk to any lurkers it may be me - if I don't make it have a great time and do it again soon.

xxsummerxx · 07/12/2004 16:53

Hopefully will make it, Louis has his last lot of jags today and is teething so he is a wee bit grumpy but hopefully by the time Thursday comes he will be better.

Hope to see you all soon, Elaine.

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 07/12/2004 17:03

Aww your poor ds's, hope you will both be able to come.
A change of scene and a bit of attention from other children might cheer them up a bit (and if not them youWink) Oh and cake always helps.

Hope to see you all on Thursday Smile

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 08/12/2004 12:00

OK Are we on for tomorrow then?

Nobody fancy cake anymore???Grin

XmasMcMudding · 08/12/2004 14:20

Yup Smile - count me in.

I might be a little late cos I'm aiming to drive to my mum's in the west end (we live at Loch Lomond) and then get the train in. Unless I'm brave enough to attempt to park in the city centre.

Will hopefully find you inside. I'll wear a bright orange stripey hat and you can wave at me!

Looking forward to this Smile

gscrym · 08/12/2004 17:06

I'll be there. I'm going to try to park at Buchanen galleries and walk down from there.

See you all tomorrow.

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 08/12/2004 17:29

OK see you all tomorrow at 10 outside Princes Square. Looking forward to it tooSmile

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 09/12/2004 09:55

Sorry not going to be able to make it today. DD has a bad cold and her conjunctivitis has come back quite bad this morning (bad mummy forgot to put in eye drops last night Blush) but I also seem to have it too!
Hope you all have a good time, and hopefully we can arrange another meet up again soon.
Smile

Prettybird · 09/12/2004 13:10

.... bummer. :(

Get back today from 2 weeks holiday in SOuth Africa and find that I'm just too late for a meet up - finally, one in Glasgow :(.

Only just got through my e-mails and rewarded myself with a few minutes on Mumnset, so wouldn't have had the time to make it anyway. If it had been next week, I could have sneeaked a long lunch hour (although Princes Square is a good 20 minutes walk from where I work).

Hope you all had a great time :)

Colette - whereabouts are you on the Southside? I'm in Pollokshields.

gscrym · 09/12/2004 15:11

It was just McMudda and me. I thought no-one was going to show and as I was walking away, I saw an orange stripey hat. Our little uns got on well and cake was nice.

OP posts:
colette · 09/12/2004 15:44

Sorry
ds slept badly last night with his teething and cold - I had trouble getting up in time to take dd to school. Glad you had a good time McMudda and gscrym Smile Would be great to do another one after xmas.

Prettybird · 09/12/2004 15:49

.... well perhaps we can arrange another one, now that contact has been finally made on the West Coast!

But weekends are better for me, especially if we include little 'uns, as I work full time.

Glad you had a good time? Where did you have your cake?

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 09/12/2004 16:57

Glad you had a good time and the little ones got on well. Smile
Hopefully we can arrange another one and more of us will be able to go!
Was really looking forward to comingSad but DD was in for an operation last week and I am feeling a bit overly cautious about her not feeling well.

Sorry!

xxsummerxx · 09/12/2004 17:00

So sorry I couldnt make it ladies, the wee one hasnt been right for the last few days between having the cold, teething and jags.

Would still like to be included next time though.

Elaine.
