I have been past it quite few times - quite a nice area - but very easy to get lost if you have people coming from away. I have heard it did weddings but have never been inside - sorry - not much help.

Have you tried googling it - lots of pages come up - doesn't look exstorionatley expensive.

Have to admit the obscure location worried me a little, I've been here nearly 4 years now and never worked out where it is!

Well it is pretty near the middle of Gissing, and I guess from the A140 it isn't too bad to find - but cross country from where I live near Long Stratton, or coming up from Diss it took us quite a few times to figure out the route through Gissing ! It looks pretty impressive from the photos. Why don't you visit it and see what you think.

went past the entrance to gissing hall yesterday, very nice place to look at ,however have never been in . Go and have a look and let us all know how nice it is!!!!!

we got married in Diss registry office - very cute old building. Nice for a low key wedding.

Willowmum · 14/12/2004 12:34

Do you get views over the Mere from there?

hmm - I don't remember - but from it's location you probably ought to be able to.

ZCMUM · 15/12/2004 21:48

Hi I've just moved to Great Yarmouth, that's quite near Diss isn't it?

throckenrobin · 16/12/2004 12:26

um - not really - from Yarmouth you would go down towards Beccles/Bungay and then keep going west - probably would take about 40 mins to drive.

ZCMUM · 16/12/2004 12:27

I've been as far as Beccles, I've been to Banham Zoo, that's near Diss isn't it?

DissLocated · 16/12/2004 12:30

Yes it is! They have a vast car boot sale on Sundays.

throckenrobin · 16/12/2004 12:31

yep - actually Diss is nearer Yarmouth and Banham zoo

Hi Guys,
Just googled for Monsters in Diss and this thread came up, just wanted to say hi, I am in Long Stratton. Went to Monsters today with my ds age 2.5, he loved it, fantastic place.

Hello Emmylou - I'm in Diss as well (have recently changed my name from Willowmum) Have a look at the NorfolkMummies thread, that seems to have livened up today!
