Mummytummy, Soapbox and anyone else in the area. What do you think? I'm happy to do any organising necessary.

Just found a bit about them in a BBC site. Just the photo made me laugh!

I've just been told by DH its time to go to bed, and I can't bring myself to turn off the pc!

I know, I've got to drag myself away too. Was up too late last night as well. We need an MN addicts support group on here.

Hi, I'm new to mumsnet, so hope I'm not intruding. I live in Beckenham with DH and DS, who was 2 in April. Are newbies allowed to meet-ups?

mummytummy · 19/11/2004 16:15

Still interested. By the way. I found Joseph, but couldn't get a jumper that matched my car. Am going to take DD1 in when she's eating an ice lolly next time!

Hi Bigfatmomma! Oh yes, all welcome! Well gals, shall we pick a date? I'm good weekdays except Tuesday and, with a bit of notice, weeknights except Tuesday.

Anyone have any ideas for a venue? Would somewhere in Bromley be easiest for everyone?

Is it with kiddies or without?

tex111 · 21/11/2004 08:27

I could do either but I think it might be easier for Soapbox if it's without. Soapbox, what do you think?

Hi

just catching up a bit - had a busy week at work with not much time for mumsnet!

Evenings would suit me best - so without children. Having said that next week is my DD's dancing show so can't do much, then the following week DH is away for 2 nights and then I'm away for the night. So possibly the week after that??? If that;s too long to wait - why don't you get together sooner and then fix up another date for later on that I can make???

Just joined in on your conversation, feel a bit like an intruder myself, I don't seem to know anyone in my area who has children (mine is 11 months) however if you are still up for new people meeting up I'd love to give it a try (must admit, it does sound quite scary but I have to get brave sometime!!)...I haven't been on a blind date for years!

Hi Socialite - where abouts are you? This thread seems to have died a death, so I thought I'd start it up again.

snowmeltsonthebeach · 07/12/2004 21:58

I'm in Greenwich - is that close enough.... can do days (thursdays and fridays) and some evenings, but probably not before Xmas now ....chaos chaos

Hiya, I am in Orpington. I work Mon-Wed, however I am free Thursday and Friday. It's strange isn't it planning on meeting people that you don't know. However I think it might be a positive thing. I really love my friends but I really want and need to get to know people in my area that have children. I actually moved into the area late in my pregnancy so missed out on opportunitys like ante-natal classes where I could have met people. I did go to some NCT groups at the very beginning but found it all quite difficult. I am now well over the strangeness of being a new mum and would love to meet mums in my area!
