If I can face getting my legs waxed, I'll wear a dress and my Jimmy Choos - okay floored the lot of you have I? They were dh's present to me for having his precisious son (and mine!).

absolutely snog them to death - they're silver strappy ones. I like the sound of pink ones though. Might have to check out Bicester outlet centre for some (don't tell dh or maybe I could have another boy!)

When I was buying them in Selfridges they asked if I wanted a clutch bag to go with them and I said no, ds's nappies wouldn't fit in it. He said it was only for a purse and I asked how much - £425

AMerryScot · 28/11/2007 21:01

I made an error on DH's company do...it's a week later.

Would it be at all possible to squeeze a place, or have first refusal on a cancellation?

Yes I do - what a coincidence! Well actually more like a size 2 but I get into a 3 and have loads of size 3. You must be like me - can never find shoes to fit so when you do you buy them! I have loads.. Fancy a shoe club? (like a book club but we swap/discuss shoes!).

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 29/11/2007 09:29

i'm not wearing a dress, but i'm wearing a nice top and a slinky (as slinky as you can get in my size) skirt and heels!

this is my first night out since last new year im dressing up!!!

SquiffyonSnowballs · 29/11/2007 09:37

Solely in the interests of competitive parenting, you understand, I now consider it obligatory to go buy myself some Jimmy Choos. I will wear a dress except when I change my mind and come in jeans.

I am now somewhat dubious of the wisdom of coming to a booze-up with 67 complete strangers and 2 people who I have only met once before and will probably alienate by following them round all evening in manner of lost puppy.

Perhaps we could adopt a Norma-no-mates identifying system so we can meet up with fellow newbies? I suggest we all wear an extra 'I'm a virgin' badge. Must remember to remove on train home, obviously.

If any other newbies want to find me I will be slumped against bar, necking cheap cava and probably pretending to do some sudoku.

Flame · 29/11/2007 09:39

I am hopefully shopping later tonight - Cod has been helping me on a style thread, btu I am being awkward

nailpolish · 29/11/2007 09:41

squiffy

i think we shlld have a buddy corner - dd has them at her primary school - if anyone wants someone to play with they stand in the buddy corner

SquiffyonSnowballs · 29/11/2007 09:43

What time is this thing kicking off at?

CountessDracula · 29/11/2007 09:45

ELR can you email me

You may be my mystery people!

I'm not sure I've met anyone before, Squiffy

It will be fine - you just need to go up to random people and say 'Hello, I'm Squiffy'.
And they will say, 'Yes, I can see that.'
