I'll 'chum' you back (extra secrity against Saturday night drunks! Am out of practice at going on late night trains.) I can even offer lift at the Cambridge end. (we are in North city)

Kathyis6incheshigh · 28/11/2007 14:47

That's fabulous MamaPyjama, thank you! We are north-west (Storey's Way off Madingley Rd).

Have also not been on a late night train for a very long time....

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 28/11/2007 14:54

much kudos to CD for organising this - i think 9 is a great time to eat. it wil soak up my first round of pissedness.

i havent got a badge yet - but i still have some of those sticky badge pockets somewhere

i shall be wearing a shiny red top with black trews and some boots that really deserve to go with a skirt - but i dont think skirts and custy pissedness go together cos will prob come out of toilet with it tucked in mi keckers. although might change mind.

CountessDracula · 28/11/2007 15:11

custy
i think that would be a GOOD look

I am planning it at some point defo

I have a shoe issue
the ones I want to wear are v comfy for dancing and standing but shite for walking

I have those foldyuppy shoes maybe i should ocme in them

Or i have some others I can walk and dance in but rather dull

May have to buy new ones

whoops · 28/11/2007 15:38

Can anyone help me?
I was planning on driving as close as possible but it was suggested that we parked at Richmond and got the tube the rest of the way. I have just looked and it shows it takes about an hour to get from Richmond to Farringdon. Does anyone have any suggestions of closer places to park the tube in?
TIA

CountessDracula · 28/11/2007 15:40

Where are you coming from?

Is very easy to drive in from theh WEst over Westway/Marylebone Rd/Euston Rd

OP posts:
MrsRecycle · 28/11/2007 15:40

You can park on my driveway - I'm just off the A40 and close to Ruislip Gardens tube station. Am planning on heading into town around 6pm if you want to join me and my mate.

MrsRecycle · 28/11/2007 15:41

Oh and dh is picking us up later so a lift back if you want.

whoops · 28/11/2007 16:08

We are coming from Poole!
Thanks Mrs Recycle I'm not sure we would get to you by 6pm as we can't leave Poole til about 5.30ish!

MrsRecycle · 28/11/2007 16:13

No probs whoops - you can still park on my driveway and get the tube up - straight on the Central line to Chancery Lane - about 45 minutes. But personally, if I were you, I'd just drive there and park up in Farringdon - you can park there after 6pm.

As CD says, very easy to get to - follow the A40 all the way past Euston and park up in Farringdon. It is so easy, I used to do the journey every day when I worked in Farringdon and was pregnant but couldn't hack the tubes.

Kewcumber · 28/11/2007 16:15

won;t be that much traffic in central London on a sat night and no congestion charge.

nailpolish · 28/11/2007 16:16

SLUBBER/CHIPPY

where do you live LL?

OP posts:
whoops · 28/11/2007 16:26

Ah ok then!
I was going to do that but Dad seemed to think driving all the way in would be a bad idea due to lots of other people trying to drive in for Musicals etc
Can anyone give me a postcode of Farringdon for the sat nav or should I just plug the one in for the venue?

CountessDracula · 28/11/2007 16:27

at driving in for musicals

It will be fine

I drive it regularly not even that bad in rush hour tbh

Stick the venue's one in
