nailpolish - you've no need for a badge - just carry jar of nailpolish and we'll know who you are!

Shinny so sorry to hear about dd and on her performance tonight. You're not a bad mother - you haven't had a night off in such a long long time, you deserve it.

whoops · 30/11/2007 10:17

LL you've got to come!! to ease your guilt a little I could always chuck you out at Portsmouth if you wanted to come home!

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 30/11/2007 10:18

Thanks guys. She's alseep now. Which is good. I started a thread for advice on how to get her "well enough" for tonights show, but Dumbledore'sGirl has been talking a few home truths to me.. .. very nicely mind.

I'm holding out for a miracle tho.. Dd is never ill for long.. (touchwood).

RabbitBurns · 30/11/2007 10:20

Whoops, are you driving back to Poole then?! Thank you but I am staying in town as I am probably working on Sunday - my old firm are in a blind panic (hurrah, more consulting fees for me, I can actually buy DH a Christmas pressie with my own cash! )

morningpaper · 30/11/2007 10:31

naily you should just paint your nails different colours

morningpaper · 30/11/2007 10:32

I might bring a newspaper (it'll come in useful if the evening gets a bit dull)

RabbitBurns · 30/11/2007 10:34

Daily Mail?

nailpolish · 30/11/2007 10:36

whoops · 30/11/2007 11:13

I'm driving back to mine in Southampton on Saturday night and then will drop theslownorris back to Poole on Sunday! I am playing hockey in Yeovil tomorrow afternoon so don't think I could cope with the A31 4 times in one day!!

whoops · 30/11/2007 11:14

Are you going to be fit to work on Sunday?

RabbitBurns · 30/11/2007 11:18

Hmm, really? I am quite tempted... especially with DS being under the weather. I could give you petrol money?

I don't know yet if I will need to work on Sunday - it depends how much I get done on Saturday! Would it be terribly rude to let you know on Saturday evening? or would you need to know in advance?

whoops · 30/11/2007 13:05

That's fine to let us know on the night!
We will be coming back to Southampton whatever!

RabbitBurns · 30/11/2007 13:07

CD, a forensic examination of my history WRT the party reveals no choice of pudding. It's probably too late now, but if you want to know, I'll go for the Lemon Meringue.

legalalien · 30/11/2007 14:55

I have had a very bad cough / cold / sinusitis all week and am wavering (feeling slightly better today but still not inspired by the thought of tequila and haven't got anything nice and new to wear ). Should I come along and hope that everyone will be sympathetic / forgive my lack of sartorial splendour? Or put my PJs on and watch X factor......

gizmo · 30/11/2007 14:57

Legalalien

I have grotty cold too - am hoping to compensate by wearing a dress redder than my nose.

Shall we form the Lemsip corner together?
