Christmas Lunch In the City

Metrobaby · 14/10/2004 11:43

Kayleigh and I thought it would be a nice idea to see if anyone would be interested in a Christmas lunch get togetber at Pizza Express on London Wall. There's a set menu which Kayleigh has kindly agreed to post the details.

The dates available would be any dates between Monday 6th and Friday 10th Dec. If people can post dates which they prefer we'll go with the majority.

New MNers to this meetup are very much as welcome as the regulars

I'm new to mums net too and would love to join you if that's Ok. I work Monday to Wednesday only.

sis · 20/10/2004 20:17

Hi, I wonder if I could join you on this even though I now work in Westminster - as I am under notice of redundancy, I think the people atwork will need to get used to not having me around, so I thought a long lunch in December would ease them into nicely.

If I am allowed to join you, can I vote for a monday, wednesday or friday please?

vivat · 21/10/2004 14:36

I'm back at work now and would love to come. Can do any day but would prefer not a Friday

TurnAgainCat · 21/10/2004 16:59

I would love to come, and ATM could do 6-8 Dec.

Kayleigh · 25/10/2004 10:09

bump...

Chuffed · 28/10/2004 09:38

Wed would be best for me. Once the day is set can I confirm then as I will need to use an hour or so of holiday leave so I can have a long lunch.

Metrobaby · 29/10/2004 14:03

Forgot to add that I've reserved us all a table, however, Pizza Express want a £5 deposit a head. Would anybody who wants to come either pop into Pizza Express with their deposit or alternatively you can phone them on 0207 5887262 and pay your deposit over the phone with your card. Is this OK for everyone? The deposit will be used against the bill on the day.

Thanks for reminding me Marina.

The table is booked under the name of Mumsnet. Please quote this when paying your deposit. Once you have paid your deposit, it would be v helpful if you could post on this thread. TIA

Oh Kayleigh - I am gutted that you won't be able to make it either Wednesday was the most popular date that most people could make though.

Metrobaby, don't worry, really not a problem. I will be spending the day on Brighton seafront & shopping. Then having a slap up meal paid for by my firm.

The only problem is that the company won't be as good . I'll just have to cheer my self up with a bit of extra retail therapy !

Metrobaby · 30/10/2004 21:05

We'll have to update you then on all the gossip

OP posts:
Kayleigh · 31/10/2004 16:26

as long as I'm not the gossip

Metrobaby · 31/10/2004 20:47

No Kayleigh - How could it be? After all we only have a couple of hours - not all night

OP posts:
Chuffed · 02/11/2004 13:53

£5 deposit paid just now

beachyhead · 02/11/2004 18:01

Just tried to pay by phone and the manager said I have to go in and pay the deposit, so I'll pop down there and pay mine as soon as I get untied from my desk.....

Metrobaby · 03/11/2004 10:23

Thanks for letting me know Beachyhead. The guy I spoke to said we could pay by phone if we had our card details. I'll try and phone today and get this sorted

beachyhead · 03/11/2004 10:25

Is it the one near Finsbury Circus or the other one, up high in the walkway nearer the London Museum? I went to the Finsbury Circus one last night to pay my £5 but they had no booking so I hope its the other one!!!!!

Kayleigh · 03/11/2004 10:29

ummm, I thought it was the Finsbury Circus one. But Metrobaby has done booking so I'll keep my nose out of this.

Chuffed · 03/11/2004 14:31

I paid on the phone with no problems.
