Right

Payment methods have changed slightly as I have hit limit for paypal tx on personal a/c and have had to upgrade to premier

I know, I know
I went to stay with nappynutty, I won't be invited back

nappynuttynormabutty · 13/09/2007 20:11

No, definitely not having you again

Bluestocking · 14/09/2007 21:01

Countess, have you had the money from me yet? I PayPalled it to you. Thanks so much for all your hard work organising this!

CountessScabula · 14/09/2007 21:08

Yes have it thanks!

No worries

Flamesparrow · 14/09/2007 21:10

When do you need it by? Psycho has written me a cheque, but I have no money to pay until at least Monday

Can I email you for the bank details and I will pay her bit as soon as I can?

CountessScabula · 14/09/2007 21:12

whenever

Flamesparrow · 14/09/2007 21:15

Thanks - sorry, am worrying about it all where I am doing it for her

Rhubarb · 15/09/2007 11:19

Is it not a bit early for deposits to be paid? What about those people who don't know they can go until much later? There is usually a surge in last minute Mumsnetters taking up the offer.

Paying for the whole meal by the end of Sept seems a little, well, hasty.

I understand they may have said this is the way it has to be. Just seems a lot of money upfront and so early in the day.

CountessScabula · 15/09/2007 20:01

No not really

If you want to reserve their whole restaurant they need certainty. I am not prepared to go through two collections of money, one is bad enough!

So this is the only way really

CountessScabula · 15/09/2007 20:02

Also can accommodate more people nearer the time don't worry

Flamesparrow · 15/09/2007 20:03

I'm happier with it like this - I can pay and forget about it rather than getting to December and thinking "Oh sh*t it is Christmas and we have no money - something has to give, so it will be the MN do"

Rhubarb · 15/09/2007 20:03

Oh well, I suppose that those who pay deposits and can't go, can always 'sell' their places to those who want to go nearer the time?

CountessScabula · 15/09/2007 20:13

NO you have it wrong!

If you have to pull out up to a week before I will refund your money. It is only after I have confirmed final numbers that this won't be possilbe

If you look at this thread you can see I said...

  1. A week before the party we MUST confirm numbers. I'm afraid anyone who drops out after this time WILL LOSE THEIR MONEY as I will still have to pay. Obv if you can fill your place with someone else then that will be fine. If anyone else suddenly decides they want to come in the last week I'm sure that would be fine but I would have to check.
BeetrootBevan · 15/09/2007 20:15

did you get my money

and are youglad you took this one?

Flamesparrow · 15/09/2007 20:16

Ooh I didn't read that bit - please don't offer to refund me, can we pretend my money is gone forever, or I KNOW I'll panic about cashflow and try to drop out

Rhubarb · 15/09/2007 20:24

Oh right. Fair enough then!
I'm only threadcrashing, sorry!

BeetrootBevan · 15/09/2007 20:26

are you going to put up a list of those who have aopid ad those who have not - to encouragfe a surge???

DanielJohnston · 15/09/2007 20:27

Countess, did you get my email? Is it ok if I pay by cheque? Although I can do paypal if you'd prefer.

I'm in the district anyway you see and would like to have a Christmas Do with others. I'm a bit of a lurker, but hopefully you'll all pretend not to notice the electronic tag I wear.

Rhubarb · 15/09/2007 20:28

I'm far too beautiful to go!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 15/09/2007 21:55

Hi, I'm not going - please take me off the list.

Thanks.

hunkermunker · 15/09/2007 21:55
