Hi I live in a village outside Newport - am very mobile and would love to meet up with anyone in the area. (Tried to join a mother and baby group this morn only to find the place all locked up and no-one to be seen....) Any one up for it?

Hi eleanorsmum

I live just outside Newport too. Whereabouts are you?

I take DD (just 2 years) to lots of clubs. Would it helpful if I gave you the details?

Hi eleanorsmum. I live in the middle of Newport, and have 2 dds - 7 and 5, so not much use on the baby activities front. Just wanted to say hello and let you know that there are a few of us from the 'Port around.

Hello all, I live in the centre of Newport too, but no child yet, due on 4th November. Will then need to join these groups, so would be good to get to know some people. It's nice to know that there are other MN'rs in Newport too.
I know that there is a Welsh language mother and baby group in Baneswell a few mornings a week, if you are interested let me know and I can get details for you (would put them in here now, but I am at work, and details at home), english speaking parents go to them too so that children can learn welsh.

Hi to all, thanks for the contacts. it is good to know other MN's in the area. Would really apreciate any details of mother and baby groups, I have one DD who is 7 weeks. I live in Abercarn. My e-mail is [email protected] if you want to contact me that way. Look forwards to hearing from you!!!

Angharadkw, there's a great M&T group at Duckpool Road Baptist Church (off Caerleon Road) - Thursday PM 1:30 - 3:00. Obviously I don't go there any more (lol), but I did go there for 5 years in total. I'm sure you'd get a warm welcome.

Are you planning on sending your child to the Welsh school? (maybe you haven't thought that far ahead yet ). My dds go there, and it really is a great school.

Angharadkw · 01/10/2004 11:34

emsiewill, thanks for that I will definitely give the M&T group a go. I was planning to send them to the Welsh school. as I am from Anglesey so speak welsh fluently and I wanted them to be able to as well. Am I right in thinking it's 'behind' ringland? do they do primary and secondary?
