deegward · 29/10/2004 22:07

mudda, singing kettle get past border patrol once a year. It was underwater, and ds1 went dressed upas a diver. Black sweatshirt, black woolly tights, flippers, mask, snorkel and.... to show that am I sad SAHM a set of oxygen tanks made out of 1 litre mineral water bottles with garden hose stuck into the tops looping round, and strapped to his back with a belt. Archie even said " great outfit" (in a Glasgow accent) it made ds1 day!

deegward

How was the day out? Really busy? How were the mil visits?

Glad we didn't make the journey.. ds' temp soared Fri afternoon and he's been a little furness all day today Around 39 deg now so fingers crossed it will drop to below 38 tomorrow... can't believe he's been walking round in a sleeveless vest and nappy in October!

Kayleigh · 31/10/2004 16:28

karen99, how is he today ??

My MIL has just been returned to the coach station. I let dh and the boys take her back while I had a cuppa and read the papers. Bliss !!!

Actually wasn't too bad as we spent day at Woburn yesterday and weather was fab.

anorak · 31/10/2004 16:31

The meet-up fell apart really and ended up with Melsy and dd coming to my house for lunch, then Christie plus dd came round later for a while.

We had a good afternoon anyway.

Kayleigh · 31/10/2004 16:31

we should make your house mumsnet HQ

anorak · 31/10/2004 16:32

Yes, my dh accused me of turning it into a hotel yesterday

karen99 · 31/10/2004 21:46

Glad you all had a nice time, Anorak

Thx for asking Kayleigh. DS peaked at 39.2deg today. Stopped giving calpol as he'd been on it for 3 days, but NHS Direct said it was fine to continue tonight plus add Nurofen! Will take him to the docs tomorrow if he's still got it (will be his fourth day by then ) Worried that it's lasting this long, but he is in good spirits considering how hot he is. Wingy and clingy but not tearful and inconsolable, which must be a good sign.

karen99 · 01/11/2004 15:06

DS much better today Only warm, not hot and almost back to himself despite the demanding tone to everything... think he's just realised he gets everything he wants when he's that sick.. he's finding it hard understanding that he's back in reality

Kayleigh · 01/11/2004 20:10

so glad he's better karen99.
bet you're exhausted !

melsy · 01/11/2004 20:17

Is it my turn to drive Thursday , or is anyone else willing to taxi, me not soo good on motorways a nite , yes I know muts pull it together!!

OP posts:
Kayleigh · 02/11/2004 11:28

melsy - i don't mind driving to restaurant if you can get to me. Bit of a long way round for me to go to enfield on way to watford and time wise won't be good as have to wait for dh to get home.
You won't be able to get plastered but at least you won't have to do motorway.

Is that ok ?

anorak · 02/11/2004 11:34
