I'm feeling much better thanks. We've decided from 1st March we're going on a bit of a detox/diet to shift some excess weight etc. Wonder how long it'll last?!?!

Hope your painting is finished by the weekend as its supposed to be really wintry from what I've heard.

Hope you've had a good week.

Hi Carlene!

We are moving so we are a 5 min walk from the station as my husband will be still commuting to London. We are moving on 12th March and can't wait to get out of London!! It will be so nice having a garden for our daughter to run around in. How long have you lived in Stowmarket?

Thanks for getting in touch, Zara

hi

hope you've had a good week. ours has not been so great.

molly went over a step in her walker yesterday and banged her nose and head. thankfully she's fine but it scared the life out of me and doesn't stop me feeling like the worlds worst mother.

you have to have eyes in the back of your head. she's moving so quick now and she's not even crawling properly yet.

hope you managed to sort your car out carlene.

hows the packing going zara?

glad the snow has almost disappeared but nigel says its meant to be bad again at the weekend.

have a good weekend

heidi xx

bamster · 25/02/2005 14:44

hi heidi,
i really wouldnt think you are a bad mum. sometimes they have to learn the hard way. im just as bad, corey stood on his push along car and toppled over the front yesterday. his mouth bled a bit but he was fine.i asked him loads of tines to get down but he wouldnt. that boy has no fear i can tell you!! so really , dont worry yourself.
my week hasnt been great, corey had to go to the child development clinic at the health centre tues. he has a developmental delay. he has to have blood tests soon and a hearing test and see a speech therapist! im taking him to a group next wed morn up chilton fields called stepping stones which will help with certain parts of his development. its all go. no the car hasnt been fixed due to lack of funds at the moment. think the time has come for me to start looking for a little part time job. is hard though as hubby works shifts.
i think thats my week pretty much summed up. hubby workin weekend so no plans. have a good one whatever you do. speak soon

Hi Carlene

Sorry to hear you had such a rotten week. I hope that your weekend was better for you.

Molly is feeling fine now, you'd never think anything had happened to her. She has a feint bruise remaining on her nose, but no doubt its the 1st of many bruises in the years to come!

We had a pretty lazy weekend with a trip into town on Saturday and then on Sunday we went to visit my Grandad at Chilton Meadows nursing home.

Isn't this weather dreadful? Its neither one thing or another. Roll on summer when we can sit in the garden or go to the Rec.

Well, Molly has just gone down for her afternoon nap so I MUST MUST MUST get on with some housework!!!

Take care

hi heidi,
cant believe how quick this week has gone already. and the weather isnt no bloody better. not really done much myself. corey has more of a social life than me. we went to his new developmental group wednesday which he seemed to enjoy. i just hope it does him some good in the long run.
hope you all ok,

Hi! Just wondering if anyone knows of any nice family friendly restaurants or pubs in Stowmarket please. It is just that my sister and her boyfriend are driving our removal van and we have promised them a meal out!!!

bamster · 08/03/2005 14:36

hi, theres not really anywhere in stowmarket that i can think of. though heidi may know of somewhere. the only place i can think of that we like is the claydon crown which is a hungry horse. claydon is the 2nd exit from stow up the a14 going towards felixstowe. turn left at the roundabout, its about half a mile on your right. hope that helps. have a good move,

Hi! Thanks for that Carlene. Really appreciate it. How are things going with you? Corey okay? Taly is ill at the moment and she is now starting to lose her voice. Poor little thing!!xox

bamster · 10/03/2005 14:45

hi zara, hope taly feel better soon.its horrible for them isnt it. we ok thanks. corey has just started a group in stowmarket to help with his development as he's a tad behind. he seems to enjoy it.
hey, wont be long before you're in this neck of the woods permantly.are you getting excited?

love carlene xx

OP posts:
mummytotaly · 11/03/2005 13:27

Unfortunately I am too tired to be excited. It is horrible because tonight one of our friends is having a party and we are going to say goodbye and stuff and I don't feel up to it!!
Taly is doing better. We packed her toys last night and the poor little thing burst in to tears. It is all quite strange and upsetting for her so I am taking her out today so that she can have a final run around with all her friends etc. Poor girl! Does Corey enjoy the group? I know it is easier said than done but I would n't worry too much about his development because he will catch up eventually. Can't believe it is tomorrow -after waiting for so long time has now flown by!!! xox

heidib · 11/03/2005 13:38

Good luck for tomorrow Zara. Hope it all goes well. Look forward to seeing you on Friday at Mothers & Others if you can make it.

Glad Corey is enjoying his group Carlene. How is he getting on now?

Well, Molly is grizzling for her lunch so I'd better go!

Take care

bamster · 11/03/2005 14:13

hi to you both,

i reckon we should all meet up at some point or swop email addresses at some point. can all get a bit confusing reading these pages!!

heidi- hope you been ok this week, corey starting to settle in his new group nicely. having trouble getting him into bed at night though now. he throws the biggest of tantrums. hows molly? up to much weekend? we got a busy 1 coming up. seem to be here there and everywhere. cant complain. speak soon ,

zara- can imagine it being quite stressful for you all. you'll be in a bit of a muddle at first but im sure you'll settle in quickly. good luck and perhaps when you got a bit of time, we could meet up.
love carlene x x

OP posts:
heidib · 11/03/2005 15:08

Meet up definitely sounds like a good idea. Think we'll let Zara settle in and find her bearings first then we can arrange something?

It must be a nightmare for you at night times Carlene? Fortunately Molly is pretty good. She played up a bit last night but I think thats cos Nigel is away and she's used to him putting her to bed.

We've got a busy weekend compared to last week. Tomorrow we're off to Braintree to see my sis and her brood as it's my neice's birthday on Sunday. Then on Sunday we're round the in-laws and we've laso got to fit in a visit to my Grandad in the nursing home and I want to go to my Great Grandparents grave to tidy it up and add some more flowers. Not sure if the flowers will last for long in this wind!

Have a good one!

Hiya

How are you & Corey getting on?

Mollys been really miserable with her teething yet nothing is coming through yet. Its been going on for what seems like forever!

Got back from town a little while ago and it was soooo warm! Can't believe only a few weeks ago we had deep snow. Strange weather. I even managed to get 2 loads of washing dry outside. What a life I lead!

Hope you're well.

Take care

Heidi xx

bamster · 16/03/2005 21:16

hello,
we ok, i know, this weather is great though isnt it. hope its here to stay.
at least the teething doesnt last forever, though molly obviously doesnt realise that porr little girl.

corey is in serious tantrum mode at the mo. he was in my bed at 5.20am mon morn!! i was not impressed. though he is going to bed better this week cos richard on an early shift so hes putting him to bed.

ive got myself one of them part time jobbies, starting 13th april, helping out in an after school club ay woolpit primary. i went & done a shift today and i am knackered!! it only 3 1/4 hrs 3 days a week term time but its a bit of pocket money. will help pay for coreys pre school. ive not worked since having corey so gonna find it hard to start.

well ive rambled on enough for 1 day.
hope molly fell bit more cheerful soon,

love carlene xx
