I am back, after 2 weeks at my parents and 3 weeks camping in Poland etc. Dancing??? Uh???
Shall we gyrate rather than talk and eat and drink?
Better move it back up my way, to Thai Square by Putney Bridge....

ComeOVeneer · 04/09/2007 16:10

Hi starry, good holiday? We just got bsck yesterday t5oo.

BTW I read your post as "pole dancing" , it must be he jetlag scambling my brain.

StarryStarryNight · 04/09/2007 17:10

CoV, lovely holiday, with a hint of seriousnes, having to rush our youngest to hospital as he lost consciousnes after a head injury, seeing a man squashed under a lorry, and our oldest constantly wanting to talk about dying, but aside from that it was brilliant, how about you?

BecauseImWorthIt · 04/09/2007 17:23

I don't mind dancing/gyrating - but would prefer to do that after some talking/eating/drinking - would like to get to know you all better/first!

ComeOVeneer · 04/09/2007 18:07

Our holiday was pretty good (especially since it was with IL's and etended family). House was georgeous here, fab location with steps down to private beach, we just ate, relaxed, swam, read etc.ery american preppy one with 12 bridesmaids, We also had a fewdays in Boston allowing some retail therapy, and a long weekend in Rhode Island for the wedding, a very american preppy one with 12 bridesmaids, wedding organisers/photographers with earpieces to coordinate events, plus the day before a rehersal dinner and the day after a brunch all for in excess of 200 people. I dread to think what it all cost . Am tanned and relaxed but rather jetlagged.

magnolia1 · 04/09/2007 21:53

ok ladies enough chit chat, where are we going to go????
Starry, we also had an uncouncious child after a fall but only for a few seconds. Very scary though xxx

StarryStarryNight · 04/09/2007 21:53

CoV, I am not at all jealous....

StarryStarryNight · 04/09/2007 21:56

Magnolia, mine was unconscious nearly an hour. We were so far out in the sticks, the ambulance stopped at a nearby hospital without any diagnostics tools just to take on another doctor as they would not continue without a doctor on board the ambulance. His life signs were unstable and they kept massaging his heart. Horrible horrible experience. And my oldest was inconsolable as he had tried to help his brother up after the fall, and he dropped him, so he had two bumps, back of head and front of head, onto a stone floor.

magnolia1 · 05/09/2007 10:26

Omg how bloody scary. I thought it was scary enough with dd4, she only lost conciousness for a short time and then had a fit. They said it was the shock rather than the actual fall.
The thing is I have had intensive first aid training and I went blank

Hope your ds is ok now xx

BecauseImWorthIt · 06/09/2007 23:02

Right you lot - where are we going/what are we doing?!

StarryStarryNight · 09/09/2007 11:07

If nobody can come up with a restaurant in Kingston, we will have to move it!

Can we do Wimbledon again? Same place?

eleusis · 12/09/2007 09:31

How about if we go to one of the restaurants in the Cinema complex in Kingston?

Old Orelans
Tony Romas
Frankie and Benny

I would probably vote for Old Orleans, but would be happy with anyof these.

Or there is La Strada near the river?

Or I think we talked about a French place as well, but can't remember the name.

No keep it Kingston otherwise I doubt I can make it. My schedule for that day is 3-5pm birthday party, 5-7pm sponsored bounce and bbq at dd's school then home, get ready and go.

eleusis · 12/09/2007 11:55

I agree that Frankie and Benny is rather over rated.

How about old orleans

My DH has that complaint too. Maybe we could leave them home together to keep each other company?
