chatee · 31/07/2007 19:02

Cappuccino- for some reason we're a really recognisable group
btw am sure you will hear me[before you see me]as i'll be the screaming demented mother with one 3 year old child lost in the maze!!
only joking btw, we are a really nice bunch of mumsnetters!!

Gobbledigook · 31/07/2007 19:17

Doesn't MrsWho have dds? Didn't MrsWho used to be 'N'?

clairejo · 31/07/2007 19:28

can anyone come. i have been lurking for a while - with the odd post so not sure how it works

Gobbledigook · 31/07/2007 19:29

Of course!

JoolsToo · 31/07/2007 19:43

I think WendyWeber is coming too

Gobbledigook · 31/07/2007 19:44

Oh cool!

Cappuccino · 31/07/2007 20:01

ok here is the deal

dd1's walking frame is currently out of action after she went in the sea for a paddle in it and it needs new wheels

they may come tomorrow or Thurs

if tomorrow I am there

if not, I am not (cannot do wheelchair + 2 year old too stressful)

if we do come and there is to be lots of walking to be done, does anyone have a spare pair of hands or older child (over 6 will do) that can give her a shove on her frame (bit like pushing a ride-on buggy)

chatee · 31/07/2007 20:03

capp- what colour is your dd's frame?
my dd has a red one that she is not using atm- will that be any help?

Cappuccino · 31/07/2007 20:39

ooh yes it is red

your dd is 6 yes?

so roughly the same height?

maybe, maybe

are you sure she's not using it? (is she a pampered child with a whole wardrobe of different coloured ones?)

chatee · 31/07/2007 20:53

no, not a pampered child at all but a physio with high hopes
dd has only been using the frame in the playground at school(and physio is concerned that she is going to have an accident as she is running and jumping et all-so we now have a pair of green crutchesvisualise an octopus-yes that's my dd atm-all arms and legs and definetly no co-ordination!!

they haven't even been out of the boot of the car since i collected them from school

so if it makes it easier for you and your dd for the day- please use them(we can adjust the height if neccessary-no problem)

and I'm sure there will be lots of eager pushers- my ds for a start but i would worry for the safety of your dd but am sure my dd would do a grand job pushing and would be at the right height too

if you can cat me we could exchange mobile numbers if you want

Cappuccino · 31/07/2007 20:58

will do chatee

my dd gets pushed around the playground by her boyfriends so fast you can see the g-force in her cheeks

she also runs, jumps, skips - is frightening to watch. she has tripods but bor-ing as they don't go as fast

we just figure she needs to have insane dangerous fun as much as the next lass

roisin · 31/07/2007 22:46

Clairejo - of course - all welcome! Please come!

Chatee - can't wait to see your dd with green octopus crutches! sounds fab. She is doing so well.

Cappuccino - I just have dss 8 and 10, and dh may be around for some of the time too; so between us plenty of pairs of hands.

GDG - yes Mrs Who does have 2 dds - my mistake; and yes she's had loads of names too!

OP posts:
roisin · 31/07/2007 22:50

PS It looks like we're going to be quite a few now, which is FANTASTIC. I've just noticed on their website that they ask groups to contact them at least a week in advance.

So we are NOT a group. OK? We'll just happen to meet up there.

So don't ask at the desk where is the MN Group or anything! I'm sure you'll notice us from the noise, and apart from the maze it's not a big place anyway.

OP posts:
WendyWeber · 31/07/2007 22:51

If I do make it I will be another spare pair of hands but can't guarantee yet (and of course I may well end up in Carlisle or Cockermouth, although Jools has kindly sent me multimap directions )

Gobbledigook · 31/07/2007 22:51

Aha, it is who I am thinking then!

I don't know how this will pan out for me. Am potty training ds3 atm. He did all but one wee on the potty today (even poos!!) but I dont' know how it will go when he has pants adn trousers on and he is distracted!

Gobbledigook · 31/07/2007 22:55

No, we're not a group. You'll know it's me because

a) you have probably met me before
b) how many nutty women have 3 boys under 6?
c) i'll probably be saying 'oh not another poo in your pants?! and tearing my hair out

roisin · 31/07/2007 22:57

Crikey that brought back a vivid memory GDG. I distinctly remember carrying a potty round a maize maze in Oxfordshire at least 6 yrs ago, possibly 8: I'm not sure which of the boys it was for

OP posts:
WendyWeber · 31/07/2007 23:01

Is MrsWho the mum of 2 girls who was at Fell Foot last year?

(Have forgotten what she was called then )

Good luck with the pants, GDG

roisin · 31/07/2007 23:01

Yes WW.

OP posts:
Gobbledigook · 01/08/2007 09:08

Going well so far! Last night and this morning he took his pull up off to go to the toilet - all unprompted. Everything in potty, unprompted so far this morning!

Blimey - has he honestly cracked it in just 2 days?!
