Hi, I am new here and would love to make some new friends with mums in my area. I have a 10 week-old son and do not work for the time being.

I am a mum of two boys 4 and 17mths, who lives in your area. Would be nice to meet some new friends.

Dev81 · 11/11/2004 22:47

hi i live in the oval area and would love to meet up as i used to live in streatham hill so i know it fairly well

Eshay · 12/11/2004 14:10

Hi mafalda and dev81,

I was beginning to think there were no Mumsnetters around here at all since my post dates from September. I'm glad you two have replied and would love to arrange a meet-up. DS is 4 months now. Mafalda, is your one boy 4 years or 4 months? Dev81, how about your offspring?
I can do next week but after that I am away on a short holiday. Will be back 1 Dec. Let me know what you think.

Ah, i just read the other thread about meeting up with childminders in the Streatham area and found the answers to my questions. I'm not a childminder but would still love to meet up.

Hi Mafalda, good to hear from you. It will be nice to meet you after my holiday and I hope Dev81 will check back here soon too so the three of us can meet. Anyone else in the area is welcome too of course.

Hi Eshay, Glad to hear from you. Have a good holiday and hopefully see you when you get back. Choose some dates and lets see what suits all of us. Thanks.

Eshay · 02/12/2004 16:11

Hi girls,

Glad to see Dev81 is back. I am back from my holiday so we can now think of a date to meet. I can do Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Would next week suit both of you? Which days work for you?

OP posts:
mafalda · 05/12/2004 03:29

Glad your both around. I can not do friday next week, but any other day is good.

Eshay · 05/12/2004 11:20

Actually, I can't do this Tuesday so that leaves Wednesday. Dev81, does that work for you?

OP posts:
Dev81 · 06/12/2004 20:10

yeah wednesday sounds good to me

Eshay · 07/12/2004 08:35

All right, Wednesday it is. Are we all clear this is tomorrow? And where shall we meet? A coffee place would be best, I suppose. There are a few along Streatham High Road but I'm not sure what they are called. Does either of you know?
I propose meeting at around 12. Does that work for you?
Or, another idea, we could meet outside Streatham Hill train station, that way we can walk down the High Road together and look for a place that will acommodate prams.

OP posts:
Dev81 · 07/12/2004 23:33

yeah lets meet at the train station and 12 sounds good to me look forward to meeting you how will i know it's you though

Eshay · 08/12/2004 08:54

Hi

OK 12 at the station it is. I've got a blue threeweheeler pram and a black jacket. Brown hair, just over shoulder.
I hope Mafalda has a chance to check on Mumsnet this morning too so she knows where to come. Would you mind leaving a short confirmation message so we know you're coming for sure. Thanks!

see you soon.

Eshay · 08/12/2004 09:21

Oh, and what do you guys look like?

OP posts:
Eshay · 08/12/2004 12:33

Hi again,

Well, I went to the station and waited until about 12.15 but I didn't see any other possible mumsnetters. DS was sue for a feed so I've now gone home. Maybe we can try some other time.

mafalda · 08/12/2004 21:28

Hi there. Sorry i've not been about. But we have all been done with this dreadfull cold thats going about. Any time is good for me. Will check back again in the morning. Hope we get to meet before Christmas.

Eshay · 09/12/2004 08:54

Insomnia? Oh no, I soooo love sleeping and go to bed quite early. Mmmm. I wish I could go back now :)
Anyway, we can try again but we have to be a bit more organised. How about next Wednesday (15th). Same time (noon), same place (Streatham Hill Station).
Could you both give me a description of what to look for?

Eshay · 13/12/2004 10:18

Sounds good. Am looking forward to meeting you both. So, Dev81 will be there unless she posts otherwise tomorrow. I will be there unless I post otherwise as well. Mafalda, can we work on the same assumption with you? I will definitely check back here again Wednesday morning.
