Marsy said it was okay so I gather that means it's settled.

Where: Boardwalk in Soho
Date: 17th November (Saturday)
Time: 8:00pm onwards

SIGN UP. When we have 50 names, I'll to the place a bit more seriously about number and reserving a place for us. They say they'll rope off a section free of charge so that suits me fine (because I'm not paying for anybody to not show up).

So here the list, sign your name or bugger off(come on all you lurkers be brave and sign it now....)

  1. Eleusis
  2. Marslady (don't even think about taking your name off or I'll tell everyone your lemon drizzle is from ASDA -- which it is!)
  3. Comeoveneer (you must come because you are paying for half the hotel)

Hmmmm do you think "Sign your name or bugger off" is lacking Christmas spirit....

How is this (hey, they are green and red, what do you want?)

Hmmm, all I can say is I am gutted I am moving out of London next month . Have realised meeting other MNers is fab and I would have loved to come but will be 2 hours away. Hope you have a lovely time though, don't worry, you will get more takers soon!

eleusis · 16/07/2007 18:07

Oh, lots of people come from more than 2 hours away. I come from out in the burbs and will be booking myself into a nice hotel.

BEsides, who wants to wake up to pesky children with a hangover... not me!

Egg · 16/07/2007 18:20

do you know boardwalk?

i only ask as i have ben to a couple of parties there and it's a little, well, little

they tend to "rope off" the bit upstairs

not for claustrophobes...

eleusis · 17/07/2007 12:43

I think we've moved on from Boardwalk anyway. Talk of a function room (yuck, I'm opposed to it, so is CountessDracula) or possibly the upstairs of a pub. I'm happy with pub suggestion.

But, thanks for your review on Boardwalk as no I have not been there.

  3. Comeoveneer (you must come because you are paying for half the hotel, and for your sparkling wit and conversation)

  6. Gomez (plus green skirt)

Any hotel recommendations? And as probably the lone Piper from Scotland again can I chum someone for dinner?

eleusis · 17/07/2007 17:27

I'm sure anyone who want to go to dinner can find one. There is currently some discussion about having dinner/buffet included in the night. I personally prefer for people to arrange pre party dinners on their own. That way people who want cheap pizza can have it. And people who want a nice poncy restaurant can have that too.

But, I'll wait to see how this evolves before I book my restaurant.
