not sure when the schools go back - lucewheel would know but i think it is the middle of aug???

TBH I really do't have a clue whether we'd come at all - Leeds is hell of a way from us & we've no family / friends who we could stay with there. Not sure we could afford the petrol, let alone somewhere to stay etc....The thought of driving to Leeds with 3 Pre-Schoolers (even if DH did come) makes me feel sick if I am totally honest - on top of the fact that DD2 is really not v.good in the car. .....

We're on holiday 1st week Aug, I think - so that would be out for us anyway ......

If we're doing it at the weekend then does it actually have to be in the school holidays?

It is a hell of a long way with my lot but bugger it I'm in, I will have to drag DH along.

doesn't have to be school hols, we cold leave it til September if others want to, just thought school hols means less worrying about the kids having a long journey home on the sunday?

Option 1 or 2 would both be good for me actually, after talking to you ellie think we will make a weekend in leeds as a bit of a bday celebration for him and then the other weekend we'll have just a family party in the garden with a couple of his friends. and as his bday is the 2nd it doesnt matter which wkend we do which on iyswim.

And we'll be spending a night in a hotel or b&b or summat but only want a cheap one so if anyone local could recommend sopmewhere that'd be good. Or if several other people are wanting to stay somewhere cheap too maybe we could try get a discount for a group booking somewhere?

Thought this place looked quite good as only £49 avg for family room although wakefield not leeds.

Have just typed that but then remember one problem KIDS.........oh well am sure dp wouldn't mind babysitting half of mn's kids while we go out "ont pull".

Not sure bout night out would have to talk to dp. Although not sure now if we'll be able to go at all, bit more skint than we should have been But are waiting for compensation from brittany ferries so fingers crossed!
