NO CHILDREN ALLOWED !!!!

Do you prefer a week night or a saturday night?
If Saturday night how about Sat 18th sept?
If week night how about thurs 23rd sept?
Which ever has most votes wins !!

Then we need to discuss venue !

I had to pull my son out of the way of a insane driver this morning and whilst I was relieved all was well and a little shaky after, I broke a nail. I was actually upset over this too. Does that make me awful?

Kayleigh · 23/09/2004 16:14

Hmmm, break a nail or a run over child ?? I'll get back to you on that one. Tough decision .

OP posts:
fiorocious · 23/09/2004 16:16

I did say too! I actually swore at the driver, a lot. I think my children were even shocked at my language. It woke me up anyway.

anorak · 23/09/2004 16:18

We also went shopping on that weekend fiorocious. Kayleigh was, of course, the ringleader

Kayleigh · 23/09/2004 16:20

fiorocious - am intrigued by your nickname. A take on Fiorucci or just bad spelling ???

OP posts:
Kayleigh · 23/09/2004 16:20

ahhh, or is your name Fiona ????

OP posts:
fiorocious · 23/09/2004 16:27

I am indeed a Fiona although I get called Fio. I knew there would be a better name than Fiorocious! I am being called Muuuuuuuum right now though, I suspect my children are home. Thank you for making me feel welcome. I possibly may come next year!

Kayleigh · 23/09/2004 16:28

spook · 23/09/2004 18:40

That's wishing I was "there" not thre...

Muddahubby · 23/09/2004 20:50

Well, I don't post here very often, but seeing as mudda has left me alone for the second time in two evenings and I have nothing else to do but paint the bathroom floor, I thought I'd drop in and say hello. Hope everyone has a nice time.

Grommit · 23/09/2004 21:10

I am supposed to be there but I am at home sick with a nasty cold . Muddahubby don't fret she will be fine with the gals!

Muddahubby · 23/09/2004 22:44

I know she will Gromit, you all sound like a great bunch sorry to hear you're under the weather.

DS isn't having much of a fun evening though, he's been coughing and now he's calling for mummy - I'll have to do.

Kayleigh · 24/09/2004 00:38

Well I'm home. And i know Melsy is home as I took her. Where is everyone ?????

Really lovely evening. Great company (as always). Was lovely seeing you all again, and lovely to meet Saint Christie .

Mornin!

Thanks for the lovely evening, girls. Had a really nice time and venue choice was excellent. It was nice meeting you, Christie and Essbee. I was soooo stuffed I had to drive home with my jeans button undone..! and I woke up this morning with my tummy grumbling??!?!? Go figure..

So what time did Anorak and Essbee rise this morning??? No doubt still in bed as Anorak would surely have posted by now

anorak · 24/09/2004 08:10

Morning girls...great night last night, thanks everyone. Shame about the ones who couldn't make it, hope you feel better soon Grommit. blu, we were very sorry you didn't make it as we were all excited about meeting you. Definitely try again sometime.

muddahubby you are a mumsnetter in theory, so you should be able to get a babysitter and come along next time - if only you have not gone to Scotland by then!

Essbee and I came home and put the telly on and watched a docko about Aerosmith with some more wine! I think she abandoned the idea of getting up and taking ds to school in the wee small hours. She's still up there actually! I'm glad she is actually sleeping for a change.

I did my wifely duty as my dh cashed in all his babysitting brownie points at 2am bless him, comes home from a 9 hour working day with a 3 hour commute and has 3 under 5's thrust on him while we go out and feed our faces!

anorak · 24/09/2004 08:12

posts crossed Karen. Very funny . Like I could still be in bed with 2 secondary school pupils to double check have awoken and 3 yr old ds who wants his cornflakes!

Essbee is still asleep though!

Kayleigh · 24/09/2004 08:26

Karen99, my tummy did that this morning too!! Oh that chocolate fondue. Told ds1 and ds2 about it this morning. Think we will be taking them there pretty soon. They were most impressed by the marshmallows. As was i

Morning all - I'm really hungry too!

I had a great night - enjoyed meeting essbee and christie for the first time. Essbee is a Renee Zelwegger clone! (grin)

Ds was up in the night for the first time in over a year coughing his lungs up . Muddashubby did a grand job singing Twinkle Twinkle until I came back, and when ds asked for me, dh told him I'd gone to see Karen, which seemed to confuse him a bit!

Mmmmmm chocolate fondue....

muddaofsuburbia · 24/09/2004 08:39

Essbee - that was a compliment btw!

melsy · 24/09/2004 09:00

Morning all , what a lovely lovely evening , that table right in the middle of it all was fabulous.Im definately going there again , poossibly Sunday if anyones up for it. Im also very very hungry.

I walked straight into house and into dd's room as was a bit unhappy , slight temprature and was calling mummy mummy in a deep husky voice, seems she now has cold from hell and cant breathe. My poor little thing has had enough. I didnt get to sleep till 2pm, but Im strangely ok and relaxed due to such a lovely evening. Thankyou girls , It was nice to meet you in person Essbee and Christie, wow about your knowledge of BSL. I cant stop thnking about the weavles !!

Kayleigh · 24/09/2004 09:05

Anorak, am off to sainsburys and to do a few other bits and pieces. Then i'm free till school pick up. Let me know what you are planning today, am happy to take essbee and kids off your hands for a few hours if you have work to do.

Essbee surfaced yet ????

Oh, so sorry, sorry, sorry! I had really prepared for this meet - stayed in the office til 1 am the night before to get all my extra 'flexi' jobs done, but everything went like pear puree. DP was late home - missed train, late train - and the whole reason it would have been easy peasy for me to come to a meet in N london is the almost door to door Thameslink - which is, of course, currently unlinked! so by the time DP got in, the extra journey time would have meant that I would have put my nosae in to smell the choc fondue, and had to go straight back out to get home again!

Grrrr! Was really looking forward to it.

Will you forgive me and use it as an excuse to arrange a follow-up?

XXXXXX Blu

Anorak!

I hate to say it girls.. but maybe it wasn't a hungry tummy but a digesting tummy as it took all night for that lovely meal to work it's way through! Sorry to hear about all the night wakings I was very lucky in that ds slept in until 8:10am this morning! (but ofcourse I was up at 6:30am when dh rose..)

Have a great day
