Anyone....

I've met TheArmadillo, FirstatForty AND Nikki (at seperate times, I'm such a tart!) so they know what I look like. For Dixie's benefit, I'm tallish, blondish, wear specs and drive a brown Maclaren Ryder buggy containing one very lardy 11 month old DS.

FirstAtForty · 28/06/2007 21:39

I've got dark hair and a grey maclaren, and a slightly podgy 11 month old DD! Will head for the play area - see you there

Mae - I can pick you up on the way through if you like, will be going by your neck of the woods at about 12.15 as I want to go to Next in Eastgate and find some clothes (my wardrobe is a hideous disaster at the mo) - let me know.

DixiePixie · 28/06/2007 21:52

I'm tallish with big hair that's badly in need of henna-ing. I also will be accompanied by an 11 month old chubby DD! Look forward to meeting you all

TheArmadillo · 28/06/2007 22:03

am I the only one without an 11 mo?

I won't give a description - don't want to put you all off

TheArmadillo · 29/06/2007 19:00

I enjoyed it - I hope you lot did.

Sorry I had to run suddenly, ds wanted to go home and wasn't gonna last any longer. Then we got lost on the way out and acquired a hobby horse (that he hasn't yet got as he was so appalling on the way home - undid his car seat twice and climbed out and then poured stuff all over sofa when we got home). Am and fuming atm.

You all have lovely cute babies, but as much work as ds is I am so glad he's older (sorry) even if he can't sit down for two minutes.

MAeWest - Nikki has your tupperware.

Desiderata · 29/06/2007 19:01

Ah, it went well? Excellent.

I'll certainly be there for the next one.

TheArmadillo · 29/06/2007 19:03

any ideas for the next one D?

HAve you got a 2yo as well?

Desiderata · 29/06/2007 19:07

I have a very lively 2yo, 'dillo. A little boy.

I don't drive, so central is good. I'm very close to Ashton Court Estate, which might be great for a picnic on a sunny day (there's a cafe that also sells coffee, etc).

That said, I don't think Pixie drives either, so that might be difficult for her.

I'm trying to think of somewhere central and child-friendly

TheArmadillo · 29/06/2007 19:13

ds is a bit erm 'lively' as well (read never sits still ). I had a good workout today at ikea, he kept legging it .

Can't think of anything more central atm (only places like Vicky PArk which are about the same distance, just closer to me ). I'm quite happy with Ashton Court.

Desiderata · 29/06/2007 19:41

OK, we'll tentatively sketch in Ashton Court (aware that it suits me down to the ground!) ... but it's a great place.

I'm off on holiday on Sunday, but we'll pick up the thread again soon

NikkiBFG · 29/06/2007 21:14

Had a great time too! Went home via the display section and acquired some more storage boxes and in true anthea style...separator thingies for my kecks and socks!!

Maybe I shouldn't 'fess up about that - who will want to meet up with me again!

Mae - tupperware all washed and in my freezer storing my left overs...er..I mean washed and ready for next meet up

HAve you been spending your evening organising then

NikkiBFG · 29/06/2007 21:25

Well...sort of...have been cleaning.....

Sis and hubby coming up tomorrow and want it looking all nice - it was getting a state - never seem to have time to do anything but superficial cleaning with DS around! You know how it is!

Was lovely to meet you - loved your DS creativity with just water and napkins!

OP posts:
TheArmadillo · 29/06/2007 21:34

'creativity' is one way to describe it

He's getting much better at amusing himself now he's older.

I can't believe how good all your los were. At that age ds would have been screaming the place down the whole time. He's never enjoyed sitting down.

Tidying what's that

NikkiBFG · 29/06/2007 21:37

Ds was quite tetchy today - until he fell asleep but I discovered when we got home that he's got a second molar coming through so that explains it! Aww!

OP posts:
FirstAtForty · 29/06/2007 21:50

I really enjoyed this afternoon too Can't believe we were there taking over a portion of the cafe for over 2 hours, seemed to fly by!

Armadillo - re age of DS, that's encouraging that you wouldn't like go back to babyhood, I'm really nervous about DD getting older as I'm not sure how I'll cope with walking and talking as well as everything else

Good luck with the cleaning Nikki

Hope to see you all soon - I've got a busy couple of weeks coming up with work deadlines so not sure if I'll make the next one, but will try, and will be more free from August onwards.

Take care everyone xx

NikkiBFG · 29/06/2007 21:55

First - get practising with your Nokia! I expect at least one text!

OP posts:
DixiePixie · 29/06/2007 23:32

Hiya

DD and I enjoyed ourselves too, fab to meet some MNers and your lovely LOs . Very impressed Nikki that you got home and did loads of organising - personally I was shattered from all that socialising and have done as little as possible tonight!

I don't drive, but I can always get a bus into the centre and walk over to Ashton Court - especially if we do manage to find a sunny day, in which case I'd probably quite enjoy the walk.

MaeWest · 30/06/2007 09:14

Sorry for dashing off yesterday - it wasn't your company honest . Nice to see everyone. DS really enjoyed the play area, he's into anything with wheels at the mo.

I don't have access to a car, and also will be working Tuesdays and Thursdays from next week . But could do Ashton Court by bus poss (or scrounge a lift from F@F?). Last time I went to Ashton Court was on my due date with my mum, we went for a long walk as I was desperate to labour going!

NikkiBFG · 04/07/2007 22:55

Mae - how is the new job going?
