So we are meeting on tues 7th at 12:30.
Let's find another venue. Am getting bored of Starbucks !! There's Pizza Express on London wall ? Or how about Spittalfields market where we can sit in middle and choose from a dozen or so different cuisines ?

I'd love to come along girls. Will you be bringing your little ones? I'd really love to see teeny babies as our first is due in November and it's so long since I've seen a real baby!

How will I know where you are sitting?

Metrobaby · 24/08/2004 19:55

hopefully I'll be able to make this one too. Need to check that my mum can babysit dd.

Twinkie maybe the dodgy tum was due to an over indulgence in the cheesecake

Kayleigh · 25/08/2004 10:08

PotPourri, you will know where we are sitting as there will be a longish table with a couple of buggies and everytime someone comes down the stairs we all look up expectantly :)

Oh and we all look dazed and knackered :o

I would love to come but can't - all my clients are coming back from holidays and suddenly sending me work and am overwhelmed by deadlines. Also worried about ds starting school. Managed to delegate sewing in nametapes to Mum, but now she keeps grumbling and making excuses eg nametapes gone all wrinkly on the socks.

sponge · 31/08/2004 19:44

What a fabulous idea. Sympathetic incontinence. How about something to induce sympathetic piles too .
I shall be bringing Harry so there will be at least 2 small babies present.

moomina · 31/08/2004 19:48

I would really love to come if I can get away from work in time. My first meet-up though - scary!

Kayleigh · 31/08/2004 19:58

moomina, would be lovely to meet you. We really aren't scary at all . Please come.

Kayleigh, thank you for note on picnic thread ... I will strangely (as I'm not supposed to be back till 13th or later) be in the city on Tues, but for meetings ugh. So I will be sending you all friendly local vibes.

Might wee dinoBlake grace us on Saturday, do you think? Can I leave the persuasion to you?

binkie · 04/09/2004 21:37

Should have said, am rather presuming sponge & Harry are still coming to the picnic? - if not, more persuasion please.

PotPourri · 06/09/2004 09:25

Hi all. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. It's my first mumsnet meetup, so a bit nervous (but I'm sure you're all lovely). Can't wait to meet new people and see little babies!!

Kayleigh · 06/09/2004 09:55

Looking forward to tomorrow and meeting all the new mumsnetters.

Binkie. Nobody eats till they promise to come to the picnic

Metrobaby · 06/09/2004 13:56

Arrghhh - sorry girls. I won't be able to make tomorrow. Unforunately my mum can't babysit dd tomorrow so I won't be able to make it. I was looking forward to seeing you all and meeting little Blake too

Binkie I'm glad you mentioned the picnic on Sat. i'd completely forgotten about it.

memum · 06/09/2004 14:46

Hello - very new to mumsnet - (Have ds (17 mnths) and pregnant with no.2) I'm the one who falls down stairs..Would like to meet you all for a chat (in person!) on one of these gatherings - but you may have lots of people coming already! Actually - just thought - I can't make tomorrow - but will try to come to any others if that's ok. Have a good time!

handbagaddiction · 06/09/2004 15:18

Definitely still coming - never one to pass up an opportunity to cuddle small babies. DH is dreading the aftermath - thinks I'm going to run through the door tomorrow evening, jump on him and start demanding that we think about no. 2 right there and then!! Not that he's turn down the 'jumping on him' bit beforehand though

serenequeen · 06/09/2004 17:01

i am so sorry, but will have to pull out of this now have only a precious few days of f/t childcare left before more upheaval next week... need some peace and quiet at home! hope to see you all at the next one.

dinosaur · 06/09/2004 17:43

See you tomorrow folks.

Unfortunately I can't do the picnic - have relatives from Ireland visiting. Sorry about that.

sponge · 06/09/2004 19:19

See you tomorrow but sorry Binkie, we can't make the picnic either as dh has arranged for his brother and family to come and visit to meet Harry that day and dd absolutely adores her rather dishy older cousins (8 & 10!) so this is very exciting for her.
Hopefully you will be able to make the next city meetup and can meet Harry then although he won't be quite as new of course.
