I forget J20, which side of Hull are you?

wrinklytum · 22/05/2007 00:30

Hi ladies! Have found this thanks to St George.Would love to go out.Weds are good.Any luck on venue yet??

PS Hope you are feeling better J2O

wrinklytum · 22/05/2007 00:40

Squonk,if you like real ale then there are some good pubs in centre and old town.Old White Hart and Black Boy and another whose name escapes me and Irish pub.(Haven't been there since being student years ago)Some are a bit spit and sawdust but give me that anyday in comparison to new loud dancey music themey pubs anyday!!!

God,I'll be wanting to revisit Spiders next!!! (rather dubious club with crazy drinks, even crazier clientele and great music)

Am on trip down memory lane.Must go to bed

fryalot · 22/05/2007 09:08

well, that's got my vote, WT

we do need a venue to meet, even if we decide to go on from there. I reckon somewhere in the centre would make more sense?

st i am east hull, but its no hardship to jump on a bus, the old town sounds good to me, so just name a pub as a meeting place then we can go from there.

anyone heard from Emwad?

KaySamuels · 22/05/2007 15:29

Hi all don't want you thinking I'm being ignorant! Am hoping to come but need to seek out a suitable babysitter as dp working and also ask them! (Not good at asking people for favours )

fryalot · 22/05/2007 17:24

KayS - ASK!

Who were the extra two children you had with you for our walk? Ask their mum?

Haven't heard from Emwad or seen her on the board, but didn't she say something about going back to work?

Anybody got her email?

I haven't

Old Town fine for me.
Not been there for ages so no idea for choice of actual pub.

j20baby · 23/05/2007 08:05

well, someone needs to name a pub then, what about Lloyds bar? i think thats near the irish bar, not sure where the other ones that have been mentioned are, or maybe King Billy, and that should be easier for squonk to find?

fryalot · 23/05/2007 08:06

easy to find is good - don't know where I'm going

OP posts:
j20baby · 23/05/2007 08:11

do you come Holderness Road way, it might be easier if i meet you somewhere and then we go together?

fryalot · 23/05/2007 08:23

I don't know, but I do know where HOlderness Road is.

So that could be a plan.

On a different subject, are you off out at all today or tomorrow? Going anywhere near any estate agents? I need to move house

OP posts:
SaintGeorge · 23/05/2007 08:56

King Billy good for meeting, one of the few that hasn't changed it's name for decades

fryalot · 23/05/2007 09:06

King Billy then.

Is it called King Billy, or is it called King William, but everyone knows it as King Billy? I got very confused once looking for Nellies in Beverley and don't want to make the same mistake again

OP posts:
SaintGeorge · 23/05/2007 14:22

It's the King William Hotel, but you can't miss it. There's a big statue of King Billy outside

fryalot · 23/05/2007 14:23

ok, King William, next wednesday night.... what time?

OP posts:
j20baby · 23/05/2007 18:30

cool, so venue sorted, any time for me 7.30 ish or later?

fryalot · 23/05/2007 18:39

bit later for me, tbh.... it's an hour away, so I would have to get all the kids fed and ready for bed by 6.30. Can we make it 8 or 8.30?

OP posts:
j20baby · 23/05/2007 19:26

well, you can come at 8 or 8.30 but i will be in there from 7

oh dear, forgot i can't drink, yeah whatever time you will be ready, no rush

fryalot · 23/05/2007 19:32

see what everyone else says then?

I can be there for 8, but would prefer 8.30

OP posts:
j20baby · 23/05/2007 19:41

was only kidding, 8.30 should be fine, its not like we're going to be going anywhere until everyones there anyway

fryalot · 23/05/2007 19:51

8.30 then

fab

dp has asked me 50 times in the last couple of days if it's tonight or next week

(it is next week, isn't it? coz I've got my jamas on and I'm not getting dressed again now)

OP posts:
SaintGeorge · 23/05/2007 20:02

8.30pm, NEXT Wednesday, King Billy.

See you there girls

j20baby · 23/05/2007 20:03

SaintGeorge · 23/05/2007 20:23
