f1nut - Would love to meet, when are your kiddies back to school? We are all ill at the moment, then boyf got a couple of days off after the bank holiday, but soon will be back to normal. We could meet in the town centre then, if you like? Have a coffee?
collision - Sorry, didn't mean to appear rude, was just pleased to find someone in Reading, lol, didn't realise Bracknell was close. Where have you moved from?

collision · 05/04/2007 09:02

Moved down from Cheshire in March. DH is head chef at BA Headquarters and DS1 is in reception. DS2 and I mooch around doing bits and pieces but I really need to pull my finger out and look for a job!!

f1nut · 05/04/2007 10:18

moring, yeah apple pie whenever all is back to normal, let me know, my oh is off next week anyway so going to try get this house decorated.
my dd will be back at school on the 17th so still plenty of time for her to wind me up and send me crazy

collision i feel the same, should pull my finger out and get a job but been a mum for the past 7 years, apart from a few months part time here and there for my old company pre-kids iv done nothing, god knows what i would do now.

Shall we have a meet when kiddies are back to school then? My eldest is in nursery, only afternoons though. But will sort, and will meet soon

collision · 06/04/2007 09:56

good idea tho I am still free next Tues or Wed if you want to do something.

I am the same...been a Nanny and a restaurant manager but think I need to change my career options and train to do something.

Dunno what!!

Hi Shanks313,
I am a new mum as well (my daughter is 6 weeks old today)and would be interested in meeting up as I don't know any other new mums. We are only just getting to grips with going out as everything revolves around feeding times but LO is sleeping 6-7 hours through most nights
Whereabouts are you? I live just off the Wokingham road near Homebase/The Bridge pub.

shanks313 · 07/04/2007 14:19

marmite-Would love to meet up,we live in Birch Hill so the other side of Bracknell.
Lucky you getting so much sleep at night-we varie with times but mostly we get 4 hours between feeds as LO is bottle fed.
If you want to mail me,my address is [email protected],I look forward to meeting you

BexieID · 24/05/2007 09:34

Awww, reading this thread is making me miss home! I'm from Wokingham. Spent the first 29 years of my life there and moved to Scotland last July to be with DF (Toms daddy).

I do miss shopping in Reading with my mum. I was there a few weeks ago with my brother and had some dodgy steak from the Wetherspoon opposite the bigger Sainsbury. Gave me an upset tummy!

Despite missing home, I have made friends with other mums here. I goto Music with Mummy class, toddler group and have been swimming (the last time I locked my car keys in the boot of the car, lol). I'm glad to see you guys meeting up with other mums.

f1nut - looking forward to this weekends race?

f1nut · 25/05/2007 16:27

bexie cant wait looking forward to silverstone the most, will be in that grandstand cheering mclaren on

chica you got girls? boys? trying to sort a picnic at the park by caversham bridge for next week if you fancey it xx

OP posts:
BexieID · 26/05/2007 23:42

I loved that park by Caversham bridge (if it's the one i'm thinking off, lol). It's by the river and has a paddling pool yeah? If it is the same one, it used to have a bigger paddling pool with a big plaything in the middle and a raft thing that you had to pull on a chain to get you across to the island bit. Have very fond memories of that. We used to play in our dinghies in the pool as well.

BexieID · 26/05/2007 23:43

f1nut - we're not going to Silverstone this year. No money and I couldn't get the time off either .
